Lou was terrible to me and Jurnee Smollets acting was not good in that film. That probably has more to do with the script than her, but I thought she could at least save it.
Do Revenge was 🗑 but the absurdity of it all made me laugh.those girls were psychos.

The story is mehh and didn't really care for the brothers, but the staging, the action, the chaos, the oners and the cinematography
I saw someone call it La Haine meets The Raid. I'd personally call it La Haine x Victoria

It felt very dystopian like Children of Men and Mad Max......big crowds, huge set pieces and seems like they rented a whole village.
I enjoyed Lou. I'm a sucker for those, bad-ass Carol from The Walking Dead, archetypes

Just now getting into Midnight Mass. The end of episode one is NOT Catset approved.
Yeah that is the vibe I got too. I know she's half white, but she really acted like a white woman in that movie. Oh she did great in Lovecraft. I think she plays a better actress in black films/projects than white ones. Hell she was even good in Roll Bounce

I can't really explain it tbh. Maybe it's a combination of her tone, the script, and her interpretation of her character? It was all very dry to me.. Have you seen it yet?
Nah I haven't seen it yet but will watch it this weekend
