Every year 2K has a bigger turnaround than every single game released yearly, and over a 3-5 year period like other genres, 2k can compete with any AAA game as far as advancement/improvement.
They literally add new modes EVERY SINGLE YEAR. The Gameplay and controls are different EVERYBODY SINGLE YEAR. It's already one of the best looking games of all time, but the graphics slightly improve EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

Servers stay buggy and glitchy
Secret patches and sneaky shyt that tweak gameplay without nikkas knowing
Couple years back they went almost 3 months with online being jacked up and only being able to use stock rosters during ranked matches

They haven't found a way to make micro-transactions work for the Online leagues, which is why you see so little improvement on it. There's zero excuse for the game being in it's 3rd go round on PS4/XB1 and their online association to be such hot garbage when The Show and Madden have been able to do it, especially the show since it doesn't sell nearly as well as 2k.

Exactly no excuse for that they can do all the tweaks to gameplay and the AI that they want, but no matter what it will still be considered a released broken game to me. A broken game that I buy every year religiously because I need that basketball in my life
