Official NBA 2K16 Thread - 11/24 Patch 3 Out For Xbox One!

My Player is dumb, and the only reason it's in the game is because it makes them money (VC). Wingspans have been in the game since '14 I believe, but they weren't functional. One player having a larger wingspan than another player had no on-court effect. It was strictly cosmetic. The way they're talking about it this year, it will actually determine how players play on defense and such. Hopefully it works as intended.

I'm just sayin, I don't get excited off nothing these companies say, last year they did the same shyt with all this talk about how they revamped this, revamped that, then the game hits and it plays & looks damn near the same and exploits were found within a day.

I'm sure it is, I been wanting to go deep into it for years, but I could never tolerate defending nikkas like Kobe, Melo, Durant, ect and Everytime they touched the ball they always just ran straight to the rim. That constant bumping the defender and either running the clock down or throwing a dumb ass pass was irritating as fukk. If they finally got the mid range pull up game, the triple threat game, and the creating space to shoot jumpers game right then I will finally be all in. I could never get past a few games because of this. I dine missed out on all the extra off the court shyt since it's inception.

Gameplay? The longest clip they showed wasn't even 20 seconds I want to see gameplay as in actual game being played and not some controlled infomercial with Patrick Beverly picking up Lillard full court for 7 seconds.

I don't give a fukk about what they say, and they didn't show nearly enough to convince me of anything. Unlike you, I'm a skeptic when it comes to companies trying to get my money, to me there's nothing stranger than somebody that -

- Doesn't work for the company
- Hasn't played the game
- Has seen less than 2 mins of gameplay

Riding for it like they're on the marketing team. I bet you were the dude that believed everything EA would say about Madden. If the game is good my way of admitting I'm wrong would be buying it, if it's not up to par I'm downloading that shyt on PC. You buying it regardless of it being good or bad, cause you on some real religious shyt with this game and have faith

I mostly play MyLeague but MyCareer is fun, I don't agree with people that think it's the only mode that matters though

2k15 graphics looked fine other than the lighting. If the gameplay is on the one, I could care less if the graphics have improved. Graphics are the least of everyone's worries right now. People worry about shoe laces and other shyt you can't even notice during a game more than slow ass step back moves

The lighting is terrible to me though, it's distracting cause it generally kills the look of everything else.

Also, I'm definitely gonna need receipts with the physics engine, cause that would mean weight finally plays a role in the game.

Going to attempt to make a decent YT page doing head to head online matches and league vids. All the top 2K YTers make boring MyPlayer videos with nearly the same content every video. People cont. to watch so I can't knock them.

2k consistently make good/great basketball games, and they've improved on it drastically this year. I have a reason to be optimistic. Its strange to you that someone is optimistic and confident in a developer's work, a developer that consistently put out a good a product and is adding even more to whats considered a good product?ok and I quit playing Madden after 08, and Im an actual football fan..so no. Really, you made an outlandish claiming they didn't change gameplay and those new details came in ...now you clinging to graphics as if they aren't adequate in the first place. In any event, most people that have seen the game has said it looks a lot more polished and the body scan look great so idk

The Good

• Per 100 poss stats are in
• For the normalize minutes option, you can normalize all stats if you don't play on 12 minute quarters
• Player and team hot streaks are mentioned in the Ticker
• In MyLeague Online, you can invite players into you league whenever you want
• You can randomize owner personalities in MyGM.
• Players and staff can give feedback on their decisions in MyGM (if they don't want to sign with you, they'll let you know why)
• VC and in-game money (I'll call it 'IGM') are separate things. IGM is accumulated through completing owner goals and can be used on things like your arena and relocation. When you buy the team, a part of the profits accrued in game is put towards your IGM.
• Owners can change goals (long term and short term) based on team situation (he will evaluate constantly during the season). As well, players can change ambitions.
• You can now override player retirements in MyLeague! In MyGM, you can convince them to not retire (example: Convincing Duncan to stay another year because you feel the roster has got a shot at a ring. Or even promising a staff possition the next year)
• Improved FA logic (won't have great players sitting in FA)
• Player turned coaches go by a system called the HOF rating. Things like win totals and rings are taken into account (hopefully this includes role players like Avery Johnson and Steve Kerr)
• Option to edit staff! this is huge! (offensive, defensive, training, and scouting attributes can be edited!)
• Can also edit team style in edit staff option (can choose what types of players will be targeted)
• When relocating, you don't need to keep the name of the city or team
• Owners that disapprove or are unsure of your relocation can be questioned
• Draft logic was looked at. Busts and steals have been included without crazy bad logic (assuming this means guys that are ranked low in the mock drafts won't be selected top 5 and vice versa)
• Draft prospects automation has been reworked. Beds (among others) helped out in ensuring that prospects were rated appropriately according to the new scale
• League talent balancing while simming many years was touched on (better ratio of talent among prospects)
• Accessory logic has been added to draft prospects!! (Higher probability for dual knee sleeves, and matching home/away colors etc. They've also used accessory data from the NBA to reflect on the draft classes. Unfortunately, headbands weren't confirmed or denied)
• Audio team has been working very hard

The Unfortunate

• No option to 'force' a player to become a coach
• You cannot save logo/jersey designs to be imported for later
• No draft protections but it's being looked at for the future
• No preseason or D-League (takes up a lot of space and resources)
• No team/player export (very complex stuff)
• Career ending injuries will not be accompanied by a letter to the fans

You can't have it both ways, you can't say 2k16 may have the biggest leap then question why I would be skeptical. This being the biggest leap implies that they haven't made significant leaps the last couple years How the online association cats feel about the "leap" forward this year @houston911

I been talking about the graphics from the jump, and I don't want adequate, I didn't spend $399 on a PS4 for "adequate" especially when the lighting in the game is hot garbage and the machine is capable of more. But, I guess you forgot about all that bullshyt they were talking with 2k14 about how they went and found the specific brand of bulbs and wattage to replicate each stadiums lighting You out here doing free promotion and getting upset when someone has complaints about something you have no stake in, have not played or even seen with your own eyes, that is strange.
