Only if you watch he Heat... and now the Cavs, play a lot
the spurs play like that...penetrate....and if they cant get the lay-up pitch out for the 3....what teams live off the midrange?

Spurs don't just play like that bruh, they use the post-up/midrange game more than most teams. Especially Tony Parker

and like homie said, most teams that use the midrange game smack teams around. Miami wasn't one when Lebron was on the court. It's like layup or kickout to 3 pt shooters. Wade has a sck midrange game but was under-used...so was Bosh
When did I say he wasn't one of the best scorers in the paintbreh...tony parker is always one of the league leaders in scoring in the paint...cmon now....layups and floaters breh....
my point...is that teams dont really live and die by the mid range shot anymore

When did I say he wasn't one of the best scorers in the paint
but do you watch the spurs? he either drives to the lane after a pick or shoots a MIDRANGE shot... depending on how the defense plays him. Rarely does he shoot 3's
In fact, the only legit 3pt shooters are Leonard, Green, and Mills... sometimes Ginobli but that dude just does whatever
My point is the Spurs do play a midrange game more than most teams... read dudes post above
i'm not misunderstanding. tony parker also shoots a shyt ton of midrange along with his layups...wait ...yall misunderstanding me...im talking teams breh...parker is a part of the spurs team, is he not? and he drives to the basket and if he cant get the layup...he pitches it back out, most times...does he not? i didnt say he shot the 3 ...tho he even does that from time to time when ginobli or leonard penetrates...dont forget diaw penetrates too
i stand by my assertion that a lot of teams, including the spurs live off 3s and layups...not the mid range...and im not saying they never shoot midrange shots either....they do......its not their mainstay...thats all im saying
27% of my shots come from mid range on 2k , I beast nikkas cause I play basketball how its suppose to be played. But them nikkas that stay in the 1-3-1 all gamei'm not misunderstanding. tony parker also shoots a shyt ton of midrange along with his layups...
i'm not refuting that teams now a day just chuck 3's and bum rush the paint. spurs have more of a midrange game than most teams BUT they won the finals with ball movement and 3pt efficiency.
Now making this relate to 2k... No one actually plays like that though, they just run down the court and chuck 3's or iso to the paint. i've played very few people that actually use ball movement to get open 3's
I abandoned myplayer mode for the first time in like 3 or 4 years simply cuz of the predetermined storyline and the god awful default sliders you're forced to use on there.
I abondoned it after Derozan dropped 36 & 12 on me for no reason
What’s good SimNation?!
I apologize for not posting in here earlier. Anyway… let’s talk about the removal of the 1-3-1 cheddar! As many of you have posted in here, it’s not a defense that NBA teams play. This wasn’t even a hard decision, to be honest. We knew it had to be taken out. I’ve been fortunate enough to speak with over half of the coaches in the league and they have all communicated the same message, “Nobody in league plays a straight 1-3-1.” This includes Doc Rivers, who we spoke with last week. Let us understand that the 1-3-1 that was in 2k14 was the same scheme that you would see in college hoops. I could go on and on for why teams don’t use it.
I’m big into ranked matches; anyone who’s played online knows that whenever your opponent got in trouble, he would go right to that cheddar zone! There’s obviously other reasons why that zone was so effective, though we will break down those improvements later. I’m very pleased to see the responses thus far for removing it.
“X’s and O’s”
I think what may confuse some is when you see that initial 1-3-1 look as the PG is bringing up the ball. I’ve seen it in the NBA as well. This is just a “junk look” until the first pass. For example, a team like Dallas may show a 1-3-1 until the first pass, then they will drop into a 2-3/3-2 or a match up 2-3. You will hear Carlisle yell “13 to 23”…that’s all it means.
shyt the rockets got rid of the midrange shot didn't they?breh...tony parker is always one of the league leaders in scoring in the paint...cmon now....layups and floaters breh....
