I'm telling you man I couldn't be happier. Nas out here doing God's work.

Hopefully these albums are actually good though with good beats and good marketing. I don't wanna hear a legend like Rick over some $5 Soundcloud beats.

There is a lot riding on this Nas and Primo album. Heads have been waiting for this album for 20 years.

Nas and Preme gotta know the expectations are crazy.

If the album don't sound like the classic Nas stuff (Nas is Like, 2nd Childhood, I Gave you Power, Memory Lane etc) then there will be riots.

I love that the preview shows the vinyl/record process. Super interesting to learn about if you're into music shyt. And suggests the team understands there's a big opportunity here to pump out records early because the demand will be there. Just gotta nail the album cover art and it's outta here.
:feedme:

I wonder what the De La album is gonna be, production wise.

That’s a great point. Those vinyls being ready to go at the release dates will be massive.

Usually I'll try to have good faith and hope things just sound good but not for this one. I hope they don't try to restore anything from the past and are strictly onto that new plateau shyt. If Nas wrote the Bible with Illmatic, then that should be his first book so let this one be his second.

Let's try and guess the order

I’m thinking an album per month.

I’d love to see Nas and Premo drop this month on Illmatic month but they’d have to be gearing up for promo pretty soon as there’s only about a week left. So maybe everything kicks off in May.

I’m going to say tentatively

Ghostface Killah in May. Supreme Clientele 2 has been worked on officially for about ten years now. I’d say its the closest to being 100% completed with singles picked and maybe even videos shot.

Raekwon in June. Rae also has been recording for a few years and i feel he’s the second readiest to drop

Big L in July. Coming off the hype of Rae and Ghost, middle summer would be the perfect time for a Big L album. With what i’m assuming are limited never-before heard verses, expect this album to be feature heavy. Nas, Ghost, Rae, maybe Cam’ron and Dave East to represent the Harlem connection. The features and production are going to carry this album.

Nas & Premier in August. I’m putting them here simply because i’m expecting the album before summer ends and to meet Grammy eligibility. Other than that, its Nas and Premier. The hype and anticipation will sell itself.

Mobb Deep in September. I’m not sure how many unheard Prodigy verses they’ve got in the stash. But Havoc has been working on this for at least 2-3 years now alongside Alchemist. I expect this to end up being either the 2-3 best album of the bunch. Hav won’t allow anything less than the best to honor P.

That leaves De La Soul and Slick Rick. I’m not sure if they’d both get a month to themselves or drop within the same month to close out the series but judging how special their hyping Slick’s return I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets the most promo out of everyone.

So then what are your expectations? Because Nas last few tracks he did with Primo (Define my Name, Beat Breaks) were just average.

They def were not on the level of the ones I mentioned.

Wave Gods was decent but that was produced by Hit Boy, Primo only did the scratches I think.
