I most DEFINITELY think its something new. The only older song I can see him performing MIGHT be Cops Shot The Kid in ode to whats going on in America these days.


Nas doesn’t really have a history of performing older material at Awards shows. He even had a little issue with BET in the past when they asked him to perform I Can in like 2004 and he declined saying the song was too old at that point.

If it is new material, I hope an album follows in July. Also he will be performing at the essence fest on Saturday.

Sidenote, I seen someone on Youtube a couple of months back uploaded Nas full performance at Essence Fest last year, he went deeep with the selection for a regular show. I think he even did some SD, HHID tracks and stuff I wasnt expecting. Usually for a festival set its Illmatic-God Son and whatever is new but it was actually pretty interesting

Public Enemy and YG both just released new songs that fit the theme. I hope Nas doesn't just do War Against Love, which also kinda fits the theme and was technically a single from his last project.
