I'm trying not to listen to this shyt a lot since the album hasn't dropped but I can't stop. :noah: :ahh: It's just so good.

i'm not listening to it no more until the 17th so I can somewhat experience what the people with restraint are gonna experience.

My new favorite song of the day is Bye Baby. Been listening to that joint all day and I'm just really amazed at the poise he took with that song. I can't remember the last rapper who didn't go for the lowest common denominator and just say "fukk these hoes, they all bytches". I really think that Nas and perhaps Common are the only two mainstream rappers who could pull a track like this off, just sounding so raw and truthful.

And to all the people or posters talking that "Nas should've known better" jargon, hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20. None of us can say that we know anything about Kelis or Nas's personal life until they spoke on it themselves. All you 24/7 pimps out there casting any type of judgement can't really speak on a man marrying a woman when you yourselves STILL pay child support, STILL deal with shiesty women, and STILL end up alone

"worlds an addiction" :whoo:

Thou shall not be selfish, real nikka commandments, know a billionaire he has everything but a fam guess
How angry this man gets, had so many bad chicks in his bed, strange sex, same sex, has addictions that are sadistic
Chain of events, habits, he puts cocaine on his prick and acts sick
Self-esteem needs boosting alcohol consumption
Nicotine fushion, some athletes juicing
Pastors quote biblical chapters, Psalms
All along he’s into bestiality porn, and it’s wrong, so I keep the Cali weed in the bong
And I'm strong, but the female anatomy got me sprung
And these women need shoes and baddest cars and condos
Fine clothes, and these fiends needs to get high, so they find dough
To mainline dope, and ya'll know

[Hook]

[Verse 3: Nas]
So many vices, habits, round of course, bad chicks
My response to any advice on what is the insidious of life
I'm just rebellious, not selfish, guess we all share different definitions of what wealth is
I need the best things in life thats women, that’s cars
Cigars, in Venice, bottle on ice, that’s priceless
The other night, just in the emergency room
A patient said she needs to see a doctor soon
Doctor busy operating on a lady whos sedated
He can barely concentrate, cause he’s newly separated
His estranged wife likes entertaining her aqcaintence
In the house they were married in, mad people waiting
Some young some old, heads and stomachs aching
Filling out an application, cause they only medication
But the doctor need love or a quick vacation, calling up his travel agent
Same time, premedidating murdering his ex wife
Life, savage ain't it
Some need xanax, just to maintain it
We all need faith cause the world keep changing
Let go of the illusion, start some restrainin

Still haven't listened. Tuesday's coming, nikkas. :shaq:

In the meantime, can y'all recall an album where Nas seemed to get such widespread, critical acclaim? I can't think of anything since illmatic, maybe Stillmatic? It usually seems like there's somewhat of split. Or some strong voice of naysayers/dissenters.

Even though everything Nas has dropped this year (features, singles) has been crazy, and I love Nasty, The Don, and Daughters (only joints from the album I've heard), there's a part of me that's still skeptical that he's dropped an album that I will be able to listen to all the way through without calling something wack.

I guess I'll find out in a few days.
