Define my Name was very average and almost like a bare bones minimalist beat.
I mean the Armani Section beat is ok, don't get me wrong, but honestly, it sounds like every other one of Preme's beats. It's nothing new or revolutionary.

How long have we been waiting for this Nas and Primo album? 20 years?

That shyt better be revolutionary and they know it after seeing what Common and Pete did.
I don't want to hear Nas spit over some generic throwaway Primo beats like that Beat Breaks song they did.

Wave Gods was the last decent song they did together, and I think Preme only did the scratches on that. Hit Boy did the beat itself.

Give me that "I Gave You Power" type vibe......strings, scratches, soul samples. Hard drums. Storytelling.
If one of the greatest hip hop songs is your barometer then you might as well not listen :manny: . That Common Pete joint is becoming the most overrated album this decade. I don't hear what y'all do, majority of it sound like some hotel lobby music

I fukked with the Common and Pete album heavy and thought it was great by 2024 standards. But it ain't revolutionary. They both got plenty of superior projects.

And like I predicted the :flabbynsick: contingent that hyped it most and hated on KD and Magic because of Hit ain't even support it. Never made the Billboard 200. It's doing less streams a day than Magic 2 :picard:

I think the Common and Pete Rock album was really great, but there's nothing revolutionary about it and that's fine I didn't expect that just like I don't expect that for the Nas and Primo album.

I liked the Freeway joint AB Soul Gotta Rap joint the DP joint Preemo ain't dropping no revolutionary shyt at this point neither is PR. nikkaz in their mid 50's I knew this would happen. It's not Nas is Like not good enough I prefer multiple producers 12 tracks 3 Preemo 3 Hit 3 ALC other 3 pick anybody. No matter what Nas Preemo drop it won't be good enough because their track record is immaculate :manny:
