Magic 2? Wow!! That’s crazy!! I was just thinking that’s a good ass statement to follow a highly successful trilogy with at least a sequel. Wow I! I wonder if it will be EP length or album length. Damn! That means that Nas could possibly follow up it up with a 3rd volume which, I think would have never been done before. AMAZING!

I saw some chatter about the sales and I would temper the expectations
I was really annoyed to read that billboard decided that people buying physical copies/downloading albums off an artists store doesnt count anymore. I think Nas benefits a lot from that and was hoping when RIAA was deciding what to do about reintroducing bundle sales or not they would count them again (One of the reasons a lot of artists held back releasing albums this year to wait on this update I believe). Now that this is come out its a little dissapointing to here they did
tbh Magic had the same situation cause they didnt release any bundle, online purchase stuff for it until months later....so it might do 21-24k if that really matters.

Reddit dude all but confirms 50 is on the album. But says that after much thought, he's not releasing the tracklist and more info out of respect for Nas' team and fans that don't want too much info leaked.

He just posted 20 mins ago on Reddit. At the end of his post he says "just my 2 (or 50) cents."
Yea I spoke on that a few pages back. The industry is doing ALL they can to fukk with the artists leverage. They’re basically FORCING them to choose between the money they make getting sales directly from their websites and the “Clout” of billboard placements through streaming. That shyt is DISGUSTING especially since artists like Nas make the bulk of the sales through “Pure” sales from their websites. Nas also sells a ton of merch, I know myself and most of the fans I know in real life will cop some merch from the site as we’re buying the album so that potentially fukks up the merchandising sales as well.
The music business is fukking gross.
He just dropped a message saying that he feels bad for leaking too much info as apparently Nas and his team aren’t happy about it so he’s not going to give too much info this time.

In light of the SGA/WGA doing their strike I'd seen a lot of people debate whether the music industry would ever do a similar thing because as you said they're forced to basically only accept the scraps off streams for direct sales. Of course that wont happen cause theres no union like that and the top guys are too close wth the label heads but it would have rearranged things.
Yeah I thought it was kinda unfortunate that the bulk of this run happened as the bundle thing was gone and Nas' team was putting some incredble merch on his store that at least from what I can tell sells
