Jay just seems to hover over the media industry as some sort of King Maker, which makes everyone not want to annoy him for fear of their careers. Jay isn't the best lyricist, isn't anywhere near a great story teller. His voice is weak, his catalogue is only above average, and lost the battle to Esco. Yet they treat dude like he's some musical savant. It's hilariously strange.
Anyone with a trained ear would easily understand that Nas is far superior to Jay. It should be common sense, really.
You got dudes (Symba) talking about why Jay is the best and doesn't even mention anything Music or skills related. It's always about money and Beyonce. It's embarrasing. Imagine any other genre of music anointing an artist as the greatest because of their financial status or who they're married to. And in these type of interviews (Symba with Math Hoffa or Yayo on drink champs) notice how there is always someone that mentions Nas as a GOAT contender (Math, or someone in the audience) and the interviewee (Symba or Yayo) play dumb as if they didn't hear it. They just don't want to bring Nas up and state the obvious, which is that dude is simply and clearly the GOAT.
