IWW is the album that made me a Nas fan. Before this, I was mostly a Def Squad stan.. Erick, Red and Keith...

IWW made me look at rap different. I was in to more heavy punchline, similes type of rap like Red and Keith did.

Is it better than Illmatic? I dont know.. but its my fav Nas album. Salute

Same. I kind of knew about Nas because of my brother, but as a younging (born in 86) I gravited more to NWA/Wu-Tang because they had the visuals and shyt.

My Nas stannery started with the Street Dreams/If I Ruled the World videos, both still two of my favorite Nas songs. When my brother finally copped IWW it was a wrap, I had no idea what Nas was talking about (English isn't my native language) but that album was a gamechanger for me.

We had SILENT MURDER and that shyt was INSANE. I didn't know until like 2009 that y'all didn't get that on the og IWW release.

I am made me a Nas fan and then I went back to It Was Written and Illmatic. I was hooked on the Nas is Like and Hate Me Now videos. Also during that time when I really got into hip hop I AM was getting heavy burn. LL was my initial favorite and rapper and once I heard Nas, I pushed LL to the side :lolbron:

Same here. I actually heard IWW before Illmatic. Someone had to tell be to go back and get that, and been a fan ever since. The CD had the lyrics in the cover so I could actually follow what he was saying as a kid. From that moment I knew he was different from the rest.

I Gave You Power, The Message, Take it in Blood are all top 10 Nas songs.
You got Take it in Blood in Nas's Top 10 ever? Anybody else in here feel the same?

Hmm, I don't think it'd be in mine but it's definitely one of those...I'd say Top 30. Nas got so many records man, lol, probably thousands.
