Til The War Is Won is Nas favorite song on the album. He specifically brought the sample to Hit Boy for him to use so that song was always going to make it.

Personally I could live without All Bad. Its not a bad song by any means but it doesn't HIT me like the rest of the joints on the album.

Another thing to remember is that KD1 was originally supposed to be a Valentine's Day themed EP so all the female focused songs kind of make sense because thats where the germ of him working with HB came from.

I agree with all bad as well. One of my least favorite…. Definitely not a bad song..

It really shows Nas versatility and impact as a writer and creative that we all have different favorite/least favorite songs when it comes to the album cuts.

I know people who absolutely LOVE songs like You Owe Me, You Won’t See Me Tonight, Ochie Wally, Nastradamus, Rule, etc. whilst others loathe those tracks. Even amongst the KD series people all have different favorite songs and even albums. Its a testament to how extensive and creative Nas discography is. There’s something for EVERYONE

Till the War is won is fire. But hold on replace me is fire. I was at a rooftop pool with that joint playing and it’s a vibe. Perfect for the ladies

Yea, I could see it being a crazy vibe in a setting like that but by myself riding in the whip or playing on my headphones while working out… immediate skip….

What direction do y’all think Nas will go with the next album? Do we think it is completely Hit Boy or a mix of another producer? Do we think he will go more modern or boom bap or a mix?

I believe if he continues working with Hit Boy then it’ll continue to be just a Hit Boy produced album. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Plus I think Nas and HB both would like the challenge of actually being the first rapper-producer duo to release a FOURTH installment of a series that supersedes the previous 3.

Here’s my crazy prediction

Nas drops TWO albums on the same day this year in celebration of Hip Hop’s 50th anniversary. One is the long fabled Nas/Premo album as a salute to Hip Hop’s essence. And the other is either KD4 with Hit Boy OR an album with Metro as a nod to Hip Hop’s future.

Two albums. 10 tracks each. August 4th

I would love all these scenarios. For some reason I have a metro and hit boy produced album in my head. I’ve had that in my head for a while too.

only songs i dont like on KD1 is Definition, 10 Points and All Bad

Til War is One, Car 85, 27 Summers, Blue Benz, Intro are fire.

what's insane it's since hit boy and nas linked up they did 54 track (i'm not counting pre king disease tracks or in between project ones) and there's not a single bad track or a real dud I can think of. Maybe till my last breath, definition and no phony love are my least favorites, I even like not so popular songs like yktv and brunch on sunday. That's wild when you think about it

Uhhhhhh...hmmm

So Nas has the money to pay them, promote this with no problem.

Where this would go wrong is within Nas own fanbase. See then you have the Nas fans who havent moved on from Pete, Preme and Large Pro (the nutcase fans) vs the fans who have been moved on from notion over a decade ago (the sane fans). What Nas wouldnt want is one group calling Hit project trash compared to Preme and vice versa. It would be totally unfair. The fanbase would derail the projects.

Preme in my top 3 rap producers all time, but I havent heard anything from him in I dont know how long that makes me wish for a whole album.. that doesnt mean it wouldnt be dope songs. I just think Nas and his song concepts would have to carry a Preme album more in 2023 vs the songs they did before.

Nas gave yall a Preme record last year no one even wrote about. I think that was Nas public reception test. It wasnt there sadly
