Nas dropping in August makes COMPLETE sense as KD1 and 2 both dropped in August and that seems to be Nas sweet month professionally nowadays. My only thing is he probably wouldn’t drop it ON the 11th i’m predicting he’ll do it a week earlier on the 4th.
Has he ever dropped an album on his birthday? It's only a month later. Maybe he surprises us with 2. One with Hitboy and the other with Premier :ahh:

No not on his birthday. He said once that he wanted to release Hip Hop Is Dead on his birthday but it wasn’t finished in time.

Lost Tapes 1 is the only Nas project ever released in September (23rd 2002)

I’m trying to ask questions more about the strategy and how if Nas numbers are so low why is he still getting major placements in commercials, movies, soundtracks, etc but she’s not giving me much

I just saw the spaces come up on my TL. I did kinda sigh when she went on about numbers again...at the same time I get it. She kinda is on this quasi fan social media team so its her job to move engagement and she's in her mid 20s (her or the other person cause they said they were turning 26 so she seen the blog era/internet era where people get organized for their favs support wise (J Cole even older artists like Eminem). But wehther it was cause he was lowkey until a few years ago or whatever Nas dont get those numbers like he used to. He still draws at shows and merch cause his older fanbase will still come out for that more than stream 1000 times a day or watch his stuff online. And ironically even though he clearly dont have all the youngins, compared to a lot of older artists theres still some young people that are up on him, so its whatever

I asked her about Nas in the international market she basically said Nas is God in India and pretty big across Africa and in Australia

I wonder how his European numbers are, he was always big out there and I felt like London used to ride for Nas hard though it seems like since the UK got their own scene right the current generation dont rock with older artists like they did even as late as the 00s and early 10's

Im sure they gonna sell out the O2 with Wu though

She said Nas does well in the UK and thats why he switches up his set list and does songs during the European leg of his tours that he doesn’t do anywhere else

Nas is one of the few 90s rappers to have multiple certified albums in European countries. IWW went gold in France, the UK, and Denmark; their gold totals are smaller than the US since those countries aren't nearly as large as the US but still, it's a very impressive feat to do it multiple times across multiple albums.

I could be wrong but I think Nas was the first noteworthy 90s rapper to do a European remix of a song. The French version of Affirmative Action was very popular over there. Nas and AZ even shot a video for it with them.
