I had a feeling something like that was brewing after Cole later praised Kodak, X, and other rappers with far more serious allegations that unlike Nas had legal implications. Dunno what sparked it but the way he took shots at Nas on unconfirmed claims while later praising those guys was weird as fukk. I'm sure Cole regrets it and hope they chop it up soon.
Yea she said their team respects Cole because he walked up to Nas on a plane or something and he apologized to him. He also wanted to say something publicy but Nas told him they were good, they talked for a couple of hours.

Something else I thought was funny she said some artists will get a Nas feature and then pillow talk to some broad like yea this nikka aint all that, then it will get back to Nas via that woman and the track wont come out/will be without his verse :heh:

She talked about how j cole flew out and apologized to Nas In person. He told Nas that he would publically apologize as well, but Nas told him no need. Nas appreciated him apologizing in person.

What I also took away from it was how Nas fan base has boxed him in so much, that Nas is always hesitant to work with some artist because his fan base might not be accepting. That’s always been my biggest complaint about the fan base.

The Drake track last year leading up to KD2 would’ve been amazing. Smh fans ruined everything.

Honestly thats on him. His camp on twitter be the main ones whining about sales and streams from the fans but you turn down an opportunity to do a song with Drake :dahell: there’s no reason for KD3 to not be a motion picture, especially if a mf like Kodak Black is campaigning to be apart of it. If you dont take advantage of something like that I dont want to see that handle talking about numbers ever again

I find it hard to believe that he didn't do a track with Drake because of the fans. Nas has featured on a Justin Bieber track, but is somehow afraid of the fan reaction to a Drake song? I don't buy that at all.

He did a track with lil nas x… nas ain’t worried about his fans like that bro. He does whatever he wants.

I'm going to say something and I'm not trying to stir anything up.. She's legit.. She works for Nas but the more I hear her talk and tweet you have to filter thru some of it. Some of it is the truth and some of it is Bs.. Even tho she works for him she's not privy to everything. Some of her info is thru 2nd and 3rd parties where at that point things can get mixed up.. Once again she is legit, but as some of y'all have already noticed in here some of it doesn't make sense.

Excellent point.

Nas has ventured outside of the Boom Bap “comfort” zone since almost the beginning of his career. It was that willingness to do so that helped make him a mainstream star in the first place. Dude has songs with MADONNA for christ sakes.

I feel as if Nas is an artist who works off feeling and mood. He’s definitely had opportunities to work with the likes of Drake, Cole, and Kendrick. Hell ASAP Rocky, A Boogie, and Lil Durk have been features on his previous three albums so he’s not adverse to working with newer artists. I think the right opportunity and/or song just hasn’t presented itself and I don’t see Nas trying to force it.

Remember back in 09 when Jay-Z wanted Nas on Empire State Of Mind and Raekwon was publicly trying to get him on OBFCL 2. Nas was dealing with a bunch of shyt from the Kelis divorce drama and seemed like he just wasn’t in the right place mentally so he didn’t hop on what happened to be two of the most successful albums of that year. But when he was back in “action” mode he was on Raekwon’s Shaolin Vs Wutang album (2011) and Jay’s Magna Carta (2013) both those albums came out the year before and year after Life Is Good when creatively he was charged up.

Basically, you just gotta catch Nas when HE’S feeling it.

That's why I don't believe Nas is sitting around fretting about sales, "old fans vs new fans" or any of this shyt they talking about on that twitter page. He's moving at his own pace doing what he wants, for better or worse. To me a Drake, Kodak, Cole, Kendrick etc feature is an obvious move. If Drake asks me to be on his project I do it ASAP, especially after Drake got the entire Firm paid off Mob Ties which he didn't have to do.

Also I don't buy it has anything to do with backlash. Nas got way more "odd" guest appearances (Bieber). Drake would be normal. Kodak can rap his ass off.
