A few months ago NFTs were a massive news item that transcended from tech sites to the mainstream. Most reporting on it was spotty, people didn't understand the concept, but everyone saw the numbers. Six and seven figure NFTs were being launched. While I agree with Steve Stoute that labels should provide a "tech guy" who can help an artist navigate tech, it was clear at the time that Stoute had no idea what an NFT was or how it could be used. In reality the entire NFT wave died out shortly thereafter and no one really talks about it anymore. Last time I saw an NFT story it was about a fake Tribe Called Quest one.

I think now people realize NFTs aren't really valuable for mass produced digital products, like music or even art. It was a fad and Steve jumped out a window to be "first" without understanding it, IMO. It makes sense for art like...paintings, graphic novels, comics, trading cards, etc. I just don't see how it works for music in any logical way for a NEW artist. Could it work for an established or legacy music artist? Perhaps if done right.

Peak Nas lyrically was prolly Stillmatic. Peak Nas overall was IWW.
Well said, facts. Flow, voice, swag (for lack of better word), lyrics, delivery...everything was in pocket for Nas around IWW. I think his height lyrically was probably Stillmatic or Untitled tho. Lyrically he was buggin on "Street's Disciple" too...it's just I wasn't really feeling that shyt musically.

Just bought a IWW cap from the official shop. IWW was peak Nas for me. I buy the official shyt from Nas shop. I see it as payback for all the years when i pirated his music when i was a kid.
