He might not be fanboying anymore cause hes established in the game himself and doesnt need to idolize as much like he did early in his career to other rappers. I've noticed he seems more confident about his own place in rap history, which hes kinda supposed to do. And its not like Nas had any reason to shoutout him out since showing KoD love on his IG.

Yeah it was definetly contradictory and goofy but I think he was damned either way because the interviewer asked him. At the time I thought it was kinda wack but I honestly dont think he was trying to cancel or anything
Maybe, but this was 2018, peak Me Too/Cancel Culture period, even if he said that he was getting a reaction. I have to go back and read the inteview but looking back on it, I honestly think he wasnt dissing Nas.

Like I said if he was so concerned with cancel culture he wouldn’t have been making excuses for XXX in that same interview who was literally locked up for being a violent woman abuser. A no comment would’ve been perfect in that scenario when asked about Nas. Or he could’ve said “I’m not at liberty to speak on that man’s situation as I don’t know enough about it. I hope everything works out for the best for everyone involved..”. And kept it pushin.

Yeah as I said before he looks goofy for that, there was even people online who had given some weird reasoning to agree with him and it really boil to down generational stanning from them.
But like I said I thought what he said was pretty much as diplomatic as one can be.....for a me too era.

Oh I’m 99% sure Nas knows about that interview. Nas doesn’t comment on shyt when people slander him but that shyt made him write an essay explaining his side of the situation. Something he NEVER has done since he’s been in the game.
