IMO,

Nasir
Lost Tapes 2
Kings Disease

this is a nice list to run straight though
Yea I like all 3. Lost tapes 2 is especially underrated. The second half of that project especially is special. Kings Disease I like all the way through. Nasir is a good album, but you can tell it was rushed and not all the way thought out, it has some highlights though. Kings Disease deserves its praise though.

I am legit disgusted at how criminally underrated Lost Tapes 2 is. Like seriously its got some of Nas’s best rapping. All the people who bytched about beat selection got Pharrell, prime Kanye, Swizz Beats, No ID, Alchemist, Hit Boy, and PETE ROCK.

I just don’t know what muthafukkas want from Nas. It CAN’T be illmatic because that was 25 years ago. Dope rhymes and beats. THATS what Lost Tapes 2 gave us

It felt more like compilation than the first but I was fine with that. Judging it strictly by its material it was 4.5/5. Lyrically some of Nas best work. Production was top tier. I just wished him and his team would’ve introduced the album with a grimey New York style vid of The Lost Freestyle. Introducing the album the Jarreu of Rap was a huge mistake and brought misconception to overall quality of the album imo.

Yea I agree. That was a bad team decision, having that as a lead off. Personally, he could have lead off with no bad energy and that would have been fine.

I think thats bullshyt and i’ll tell you why

YES. If we were still in the era of CD’s and Cassettes this might have merit.

But we’re in the era of streaming now. Jareau Of Rap is ONE song against 15 other songs. You could stream the album and from the very first song understand that this wasn’t going to be an album full of Jareau Of Rap’s. The first song teased from the album wasn’t even Jareau Of Rap, it was Lost Freestyle, which plated during the official unveiling. Not only that Nas shot TWO music videos for the album. So all that “perception” talk just based on one song is letting nikkas off the hook
