Its interesting how some people feel like Nas has a lot of pressure with this album because of the reception Nasir and LT 2 got and not on Hit Boy
In terms of public perception (if you count critics and social media) yeah the past couple of years feel even worse than pre-stillmatic or pre-Life is Good, he was still selling albums and singles and/or getting critical acclaim at the time before those dropped. So yeah this would feel more urgent especially when other guys over 40 are killing it...but hes also in year 26 since the release of his first album and remains etched in top 5/top 10 lists like now you wanna bump him off?
On other hand, this would do a lot for Hit Boy. Hes kinda of Hit and miss but a modern super producer still who does have a diverse range of beats. Doing a whole album with a legend, whos always debated with praise and criticism particularly for his beat choices coming off 2 lukewarm recieved projects (not my opinion) would be amazing for him.
I dont know if they see it that way and if its just another project for him but it could be something special if he realizes it
