Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and Nas will reunite to perform their acclaimed joint album,
Distant Relatives, in its entirety on Marley’s Welcome To Jamrock Reggae Cruise. The special live recreation of the hip-hop/reggae crossover LP will honor the album’s 10th anniversary. Jamaican dancehall legend Shabba Ranks is also scheduled to perform.
Now in its seventh year, the Welcome To Jamrock Reggae Cruise set for December 5th–10th sold out so quickly that event organizers added an additional cruise, set to run from November 30th–December 5th. The two 2020 editions of the Welcome To Jamrock Reggae Cruise will feature the same artist lineups and itineraries. The full lineup will be announced as the Welcome To Jamrock Reggae Cruise draws closer.

Nas and Damian Marley have enjoyed a fruitful creative partnership in years past. After Nas contributed to Marley’s 2005 single, “Road To Zion”, the two artists were inspired to hit the studio together to record a full album. The resulting project,
Distant Relatives, was released on May 10th, 2010 and debuted at #5 on the
Billboard 200 chart. Listen to the full album below
