This is gonna be one of those things people assume is actually happening cause one artist says he'd dream and then they kill Nas when it never actually happens even though nothing was set in stone
May get a couple of tracks out of it with Ross. They always work together which is dope. I wouldn't mind a Drake feature either with Nas.

Completely disagree and I don’t think I can express in words how much I disagree. If Nas ain’t top 5. Who is? For instance. Ain’t nobody u can list to me right now that has a flawless catalog. Nas been in the game for 29 years and nikkas STILL respect him and talk about him. He just performed at the Grammy’s. shyt. Low key. Nas’ second half of his career is better than Jay’s. imo. Untitled, Distant Relatives, and Life Is Good is better than Blueprint 3, Magna Carta, and 4:44. shyt. HHID >>>> Kingdom Come. What Jay DOES have is American Gangster which is prolly the overall best project out of all the ones I mentioned.

Jay-Z has had a lot of mediocrity too, specifically in the 2nd half of his career. I rank Nas ahead of Jay-Z all day, but that's me...and probably you too...and some other people online. But if you were to ask a wide array of people to name the best rappers ever I think you'd be disappointed to see how few of them have Nas atop the list, or even top 3. We just had this whole thing happen a few months ago with everyone doing their lists...I'd be willing to bet that consensus wise, Jay-Z Pac and Biggie are a lock for the top 3 on these lists, Nas may be in the top 5. Nas's longevity and level of quality on the mic for almost 30 years is why he is number 1 on my list...but I'm in the super minority, most don't have him at 1. That's really all I was saying, he gets overrated and underrated at the same time, as long as he is in peoples top 10 then I'm cool.

I think yall in here (me included) and other hip hop heads kind of overrate his catalog and "influence" and overall impact, in reality most people don't rank him as high as we do...but, the hip hop media and them do underrate and underappreciate him. So he's not fairly judged by either side, imo. One side says Illmatic is overrated and Takeover killed Ether...the other side says "Nasir" is a great album and "Jarreau of rap" and shyt like that is fire, lol. Both don't know how to step outside of being a fan/hater and just be objective.

Nas is by far my favorite rapper ever and it's not even close, whoever is 2nd is extremely 2nd...but objectively speaking I don't think he's a lock for Top 3 ever, all things considered. I could argue he's not a lock for Top 5 ever but my stanning won't allow me to. He has a lot of weak to average material bro, albums and singles. It's usually because the production is ass but sometimes, not often, it's him who just sounds off on certain types of songs he attempts to make, the shyt just aint good. I think a lot of people like Nas the luminary/legend more than they actually like Nas's music.

That said, when his shyt is right it's super dead right and nobody does what he does better than him.
General public won’t completely wake up until he’s gone. Glad I get to appreciate his goat status in real time.:banderas:

Ive seen alotta people that have Nas at number 1 or atleast top 3. Nas is still visible I don’t even think it‘s fair to not have him top 5 atleast. shyt and most of them lists was made by Pac haters and Jay dikkriders. nikkas was straight up disrespecting Pac on them lists. But that was mostly media personalities n shyt. If we actually got a real list going without biases. There would be a different story being told imo. And truth be told a lot of these young nikkas don’t rank either one top 5.

I love the video. Nas and Lil Nas X really enjoyed the making of this. “Embrace the younger artists, don’t demean them but show them how to move within this industry regardless of your differences. Teach what others before you failed to teach you.” These are words from a wise legend.

Agreed. It's a dope move for sure. I like the song too personally.

I feel like nas is gearing up for a summer album. He has been dropping in summer more often these days. If he drops that song with swizz and the dream for the summer that will be crazy.
