I want Lost Tapes 2...but I'd rather have the album Nas was working on before the Kanye thing. Give me that this year, and Lost Tapes next year...
Was a whole gang of "niccaz" on here talmbout HATE ME NOW doesn't bang
Not in real life. But u know the internet. Opinions are like a$$holes.I don't remember anybody saying that to be honest.

At this point, Lost Tapes 2 could be a brand new album. What I mean by that, is that it could be all songs that we've never heard from the past six years. Nas has enough material to make several discs. There's a confirmed album with Swizz. There's possibly one with Timbaland. There's material with No I.D.
He has unreleased music from the HHID and Untitled sessions that we haven't heard.
Originally, Lost Tapes 2 was supposed to be have pre-Illmatic songs and unreleased songs from It Was Written and The Firm era.
Of Mics and Men is definitely a big win for Mass Appeal. Gotta wonder what's next in terms of documentaries and whether they'll stick to premium cable instead of going back to Netflix. Wonder what's next? I'd love to see a multi episode doc on the history of Queens/Queensbridge rap.
@Life is Good tell Nas and the Mass Appeal team that the world is ready for a 3 part Making Of It Was Written Documentary!
Part 1: Psalms Of The Prophet
“You can try to bury Power, but it won’t stay there. You can try to bury Truth, but it is not dead.”
This first part details the state of Nas’s career and trajectory after the massive critical acclaim that Illmatic received. Have some interviews with Faith Newnman, some former Columbia A&R’s, and some other label people about how everyone was happy with Illmatic’s acclaim but that the pressure was on to get Nas to the next level. Have Marley Marl talking about the scrapped plans for him to produce the Illmatic followup, maybe show some footage of Biggie after the Source awards saying how surprised he was that Nas didn’t win lyricist of the year and how nobody wanted to see Nas go unheralded as a Hip Hop icon. End this segment with an “enter Steve Stoute” moment where Stoute talks about all the big plans he had in store for Nas.
Part 2: Acts Of The Apostles
“And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the coming resurrection. And great grace was upon them all.”
The second part details the perfect storm of Nas’s evolution as an MC, Steve Stoute’s introduction into Nas’s management team, and The Trackmasters rise to the mainstream of Hip Hop production. Have some interviews with Kool G.Rap, AZ, Raekwon, and Havoc talking about how Nas raised his pen game while invoking the Escobar persona (have some behind the scenes footage of Nas writing/recording Mo Money Mo Homicide, Fast Life, and Verbal Intercourse) have Steve Stoute talk about his strategy to link Nas up with Trackmasters and how it took some time to convince him. Show how the ideas/Concept for The Message, I Gave You Power, Nas Is Coming, and Street Dreams came about. End the segment with Nas and Lauryn Hill dropping the If I Ruled The World Video
Part 3: He Is Risen
“It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
The third and final part chronicles the hype surrounding the album’s release. The euphoria of the album debuting at number 1, spending 4 straight weeks at the top spot, and garnering Nas his first Grammy nomination and turning him into a superstar. Have artists like Lupe Fiasco, Rick Ross, and Meek Mill talk about the album’s impact on their own careers and musical direction. Have a little segment talking about the controversy of Nas going in a mainstream direction but how ultimately It Was Written’s impact helped usher in a new era of rap music and how it is many fans favorite Nas album.
