Nas REALLY needs to show more public appreciation to the album that made him a star. His own brother prefers it over Illmatic. It’s prolly mad stories surrounding it.


even nas main inspiration (kool G rap) said Nas took it to another level on IWW. Nas needs to rep it more. Illmatic is the hiphop bible but mad rappers have said they like IWW even better.

IWW isn't better but I agree I wish he'd give it more attention. Even in shows, he often just does a medly of the IWW hits instead of really doing the full tracks. It's an important album and it's sound is in line with a lot of shyt that's going on now. Drake sampling Affirmative Action was a great example of how the album fits today. Rick Ross' sound is very similar to that Trackmasters stuff too. Super glossy, super over the top etc. Drake has dabbled in that style, Just Blaze has done it, etc.

There’s damn near nothing on IWW that fits this description. Lol
