I dont understand why everyone acts like it's a competition between Nas and Jay. They are both very gifted artist. That tell their stories differently but they do it well.

while true probably for them (Jay and nas), we know the debate will never end from the outside especially with modern social media.

I hope Nas keep it simple like Jay's album, short and sweet, just good soulful/melodic beats and reflecting lyrics about his maturation from crack era project kid to father and venture capitalist and elder spokesman of hip-hop. Also, hope Nas write to the beat and his flow/voice is at Life Is Good (great album) levels. No Timbo or Swizz please.

De La, Tribe, Common, Jay, Onyx, Snoop have dropped pretty good albums recently as older artists, waiting on Nas.

I don't know abot the whole "no Timbo or Swizz". For one, Nas described what he did with Timbaland as powerful. Two, that snippet Timbaland released years ago sounded promising to say the least. Timbaland at least is as capable a producer, if not more capable than No I.D. when it comes to production.

You're Nas' barber/friend. We know, Marcus. You don't have to remind us every time.

And you must have me confused with someone else. I never expressed concern over Nas' next album. Grow up? Stop acting like I ever post irrational, childish things on here. I'm too old for that. I'm a 31 year old Attorney with a beautiful wife and kids, dude. But go ahead and run with your false narrative and critique of Nas fans. That's all you ever do here anyways.

Have a blessed weekend.

Hope Nas takes some inspiration from Jay's approach to 4:44 and forgoes the unnecessary singles

It kind of bugs me when people say Nas and Jay came from the same era.

Nas was killing it and had people checking for him since like 91. He survived the rise of Death Row, Pac, Wu Tang, Bad Boy, Mobb Deep etc. Jay only blew up after all of this.

The fact that Jay was trying to be somebody during that era but didn't until like 95/96 says alot.

I'm not trying to diss him Jay's the man, but he's very smart in trying to rewrite history and this is one of those things - him putting himself in that era.

Nah you belong with DMX, Ja, Mase etc.
