Some of you Nas fans sound so silly and insecure for WHAT reasons I have no dea. This is not a competition for Nas. He has been dropping gems damn near every album but NOW you're worried! Please Nas been doing this type of music.

@L. Deezy What more would like to see Nas get out of No ID? Nas told HIS story and he did it well.

we're not insecure. nas dropped 4:44 nine years ago :ahh:

I dont understand why everyone acts like it's a competition between Nas and Jay. They are both very gifted artist. That tell their stories differently but they do it well.

Stop with the nonsense. You sound foolish acting as if Nas and Jay Z weren't going at each other's neck for years. The "Nas vs. Jay Z" issue is a product of their own making.

Anyways... they are 2 of the Greatest artists to ever bless Hip Hop... peers from the same era. Fact is, they will always be compared. It's inevitable.

Different approaches to storytelling SHOULD be compared. It happens all the time in literature and film. For whatever reason YOU sound like the insecure Nas fan, shying away from such discussions.

I hope Nas keep it simple like Jay's album, short and sweet, just good soulful/melodic beats and reflecting lyrics about his maturation from crack era project kid to father and venture capitalist and elder spokesman of hip-hop. Also, hope Nas write to the beat and his flow/voice is at Life Is Good (great album) levels. No Timbo or Swizz please.

De La, Tribe, Common, Jay, Onyx, Snoop have dropped pretty good albums recently as older artists, waiting on Nas.

You obviously have no clue who I am and I won't explain it to you. But Nasir was Never in Compettion with Jay. That beef was so 16 years ago. Grow up because Nas has over the past 16 plus years. I don't shy away from anything I speak the TRUTH. Now carry on with your compare and contrast bullshyt.
P.S. It's one thing to compare or contrast but for some of you to express worry about Nas' content on his next album is ridiculous. Nas been doing this for damn near 26 years.

You're Nas' barber/friend. We know, Marcus. You don't have to remind us every time.

And you must have me confused with someone else. I never expressed concern over Nas' next album. Grow up? Stop acting like I ever post irrational, childish things on here. I'm too old for that. I'm a 31 year old Attorney with a beautiful wife and kids, dude. But go ahead and run with your false narrative and critique of Nas fans. That's all you ever do here anyways.

Have a blessed weekend.

Crazy it's been 5 years since Lig, but yeah i thought that one did a good job at capturing his current life and standing in the game, something like that would be dope, but either way looking forward to something new from him.

I mean, when has this ever not been the case? Lol Y'all acting like his entire legacy hinges on the reception of this one album 25 years into his career:pachaha:

Nas is solidified.. my thing is, I don't see Nas making another album 5 years after this one.

So if you rethink your question, you will see where I stand.
