Phase 4 has been horrible.

This episode and show, overall is garbage

The show was alright, but i think i'm realizing now that my excitement for the MCU has mostly to do with the crossovers.
Seeing Wanda in Dr Strange, Iron Man in Captain america stuff like that. Solo projects without any major guest stars have largely been mid to me.

It seems like the running problem with these shows is the villain.

Either they create one where is wasn't necessary(Moon Knight, WandaVision)

Or they don’t build up the threat(Hawkeye, Falcon)

Loki escaped this partly because of the fact Sylvie acted as both hero and villain even with Kang.

The leads have been good uniformly. But if you don’t care about the obstacles they face..the ending falls flat.

All this talk about a limited series. If they leave it like that without a season 2 ima be sick.

They keep hammering home it's a limited series, so either they're trolling us or it really is gonna end on that cliff hanger.

it better heat up starting with Strange. feel like they were in a tough spot with this phase b/c it was basically planned prior to the Fox merger, and then Covid. willing to give them a break if the sequels are as good as they should be... but it's been completely underwhelming outside of Spidey, which i don't even really wanna watch anymore b/c i feel like i'll start to see a bunch of cracks

he is the personality that was moving steven involuntarily when steven was up in the mountains.
the one who asked that girl out.
also punched steve in ep. 5.

khonshu: (to someone who knew was not Mark) "surrender the body to Mark".
khonshu: "ahhh. the idiot is in control" (and not the other person who is also not Mark)

khonshu knew it was not Mark but thought it was someone else.
that is because there is a third (and possibly fourth person) that konshu is even closer with
that person is working against Mark and Steven

khonshu: (in the van) "if he loses the scarab, i’ll kill you both"
he was talking about Mark and "Jake"

the first look from in the mirror. the one with no words.
that was the "3rd" person.

4.
3rd person was the guy drinking alcohol at the start of ep. 4. the one drinking alcohol on the street.
he is a drunk. and is late for work a lot as a result.

etc.

that 3rd person "Jake?" has been in the show from the start.
Jake wants to remain a servant of khonshu.

The Mohammad guy is a terrible director.

If I were to rank this within the MCU, man... I think I hated this show. There were like 20 minutes total that I thought were good across 6 episodes.

I agree that the Phase 4 directors (so far) have been poor. The dialog was also sub-par in this show. More audience-direction than organic charcter action. Layla actress was a but try hard too.

Overall the MCU doesn't have great directors and they were lucky that they stumbled upon the Russos.

I thought episodes 5, 2 and 1 were the best.

Is it? Khonsu wasn’t the villain of season 1. There aren’t other Egyptian Gods to stop him now except Layla.

I think they will have an antagonist(Maybe Bushman) but fight over how to face it.

We don’t really know what the Jake Lockley persona is. Is it because of his mother’s violence(generational trauma) or is it from all the killing he has committed(PTSD).
