Loved that episode, best acting I've seen in the MCU since Wandavision, excited to see how they wrap it up.

It's so weird how many people complained about everything in the MCU not having stories that are self contained and only set up the next thing but now it's one of the main things about this and some of the other deviations from the "formula" that's a complaint, whatever.

Thus far, if they stick the landing this would be the 3rd best show they've done behind WV and Loki.

This was great, really explained somethings, knew something was up with his mum the way you never saw her despite him living with her and the way it was always through voice message whenever he spoke to her

@CarltonJunior yep, called it before…All of these mcu shows have the same problem, never Enough time to wrap it up enough, hope I’m wrong here

What about it confused you?

For me, the ending crossed the entire episode from being good into beautiful territory.

There’s no way they have developed Arthur into an antagonist that will fulfill a Marvel sky beam and punch out fight to save the world.

I don't think that's where this show is headed at all and anybody waiting for that is probably going to be mad.

Marc's worst enemy is himself and his fractured mind.

The climax isn't really about Harrow, he's a hurdle of course but this is about bringing Khonshu to heel.

If he doesn't conquer his own mind, he is a puppet at the mercy of a self rightous, manipulative god that will prey on someone vulnerable, Marc or otherwise.

If he does, the power dynamics between he and big bird balance out. He can simultaniously protect the travelers of the night and the mentally fragile souls that he uses to his own ends.

What's real? What's not? Is he dead? Where's the 3rd personality? Why are they waiting until the finale to reveal the 3rd personality? Is Steven gone forever? Why is he in the egyptian afterlife? Is Khonshu dead or gone forever? Is Khonshu in the statue? What does Harrow want? Where's Layla?

So many questions, so little time to answer them

What you’re saying sounds interesting but I doubt that is going to happen. The story really doesn’t need an antagonist but we do so he has to be dealt with in a satisfying way.

We still haven’t heard from Amit herself.

Arthur is already killing people before their time so something has happened while Marc has been dead.

He has to stop Khonsu from going after Layla but I don’t think his relationship with Khonsu will change in that way. The Egyptian gods and their avatars are all going to change.

Osiris can probably get Steven back.

Layla and Steven/Marc need to reach some kind of understanding.

So many questions, so little time to answer them

- Everything outside of the psych ward is real. Everything in the psych ward is taking place in duat.
- That means he is dead.
- You get to see 3 different alters have the same conversation with Dr. Harrow and they all react differently. Battered and Bruised up guy with glass pyramid is NOT Marc nor Steven.
- I don't think Steven is gone, but he may be used to explore fusion vs. integration within DID.
- Third alter, Likely Jake is Khonshu's favorite...Marc created Steven to cope with being abused, he likely needs one to cope with doling out abuse as well.
- Khonshu got improsoned in stone for that stunt he pulled with Steven, not dead.
- Harrow wants to free Amit and is probably holding onto Layla for insurance against any attempts by MK to stop him.

Did anyone else notice one of the times Marc was in the doctor’s office his face was beaten up and really red? It’s when he picked up that piece of glass to attack Arthur.

That wasn't Marc, or Steven...different accent, different demenor.

I honestly think Khonshu is pump faking going after Layla as an avatar. He's an ideal host, without hanging that threat over his head Marc might have off'd himself to get out of this deal.

With DID, there is fusion...where alters become aware of one another, decide they have mutual interest and can agree to merge. Then there is integration which leaves boundaries between alters but in a cooperative sense. I think Steven finding out why he was created and how he was saved from experiencing abuse put the trust issues between he and Marc to rest. He knows Marc is capaple of fukked up shyt, but he knows he's not a bad dude. That being said, there is another personality that is doing shyt that neither of them can account for. If you combine Marc and Steven, you have a full fledged hero that would fit right in with The Avengers.

Jake Lockely would be more like Deadpool...that's the aspect of his personality that had people worried about this being on Disney+. The guy that actually enjoys hurting people.
