Finally caught up to date. One thing I notice is that they did a trade off. As in, we'll let some of your teammates say you were a bad person so it evens out when we won't have anyone counter argue the gambling, father's death, leaving the game to play base ball, controversy and conspiracies. This is real enjoyable but it is a big Jordan slurpfest.:dame:

Why is Scott Burrell so prominent in this when he only played one season with them? You'd think he played ten plus years with them as he's in damn near every episode.

Man Jordan was on the verge of making the majors in another year of baseball. Back then the national media made it out that he was terrible in baseball but back then there was really no counter argument cause the internet wasn't big and nobody knew the player stats of a AA farm baseball team in Birmingham, Alabama. In realty Jordan batted .202 with 50 rbi's the first time he picked up a bat and played.

Reinsdorf and Krause are pieces of shyt. They got so fukking lucky getting Jordan in the draft. Krause was actually kind of ahead of the game but turned into a deushbag at the end.

Jordan was so fukking petty. Certain parts I get for game motivation but half that shyt was :gucci:
What evidence is there to present that he was involved in his father's murder and that he was suspended for gambling? They brought them up and adressed them, they're both nonsensical theories.

I'm surprised this is never mentioned as a possible reason MJ and maybe even Magic wouldn't want Isiah on the Dream Team.

'War on the Floor' concept could be just what the NBA needs

O’Neal and Olajuwon were not the first superstars to try and attempt a one-on-one special. In 1990, there was a proposal for Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson to face off at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. The idea hit all corners of the basketball universe and ended up being squashed by Stern under the guidelines of the collective bargaining agreement, but not before the disagreement moved from conference rooms to courtrooms.

According to B/R’s Jonathan Abrams, dealings between the league, the players’ union and agents related to the MJ-Magic one-one-one concept got so contentious that it resulted in an antitrust lawsuit filed by Jordan’s former agency and the event promoter. The suit accused the league of paying the players’ union a seven-figure settlement to effectively put an end to any offseason competitions like one-on-one exhibitions involving NBA players.

In 1990, National Basketball Players Association president Isiah Thomas, who had a famously icy relationship with Jordan, was against the one-on-one idea, saying, “I believe that this sets a bad precedent.”

Jordan didn’t take too kindly to that.

"I wonder what Isiah's position would be if he were playing Magic," Jordan told the San Francisco Chronicle. "But, of course, if he were playing Magic, no one would want to see it."

Article is all over the place. I like how it mentions mj missing a ft that would've put the buls up by 1 but leaves out the game winning shot he hit. 6 words "rescued his legacy"...not the game winner:bryan:

Pippen to the rescue even tho MJ hits the game winning shot :skip:

and how was MJ's legacy in danger in 97 :skip:

Too young to know the GOAT: How today's NBA players learned to love Jordan

"When I was about 8 years old, I am watching LeBron play on TV at my friend's house, and I was like, 'Wow, LeBron is the best player ever,'" Okongwu said. "And my friend's dad was like, 'You must not have seen Michael Jordan.'

"I'm like, 'Who's Michael Jordan?'"

Okongwu was instructed to look up the Bulls legend online.

"I was initially like, 'That's not better than LeBron,'" said Okongwu, who was born in 2000. "As I got older, I realized back then the NBA was tougher, more physical, a lot of fights were going around. There's handchecking and he was still doing the same thing.

"I was like, 'Wow, Michael Jordan is really elite.'"

One thing these younger NBA players -- and those on the verge of entering the league -- agree on is that it's nearly impossible to be a hardcore basketball player and not know anything about Jordan.

"Any kid coming up through high school, they're going to have to watch Michael Jordan clips if they're serious about basketball," Nesmith said. "And I think that is not going to fade for generations."

ONE OF THE first memories of Jordan that comes to mind for Cole Anthony is from the third grade, when someone told him that his father and Jordan nearly fought.

"Really? My dad?" Cole asked at the time, incredulous when told his father got into a scuffle with Jordan. "Word?"

Anthony immediately went to YouTube and soon discovered what many young basketball players have unearthed by typing "Michael Jordan" into a search bar.

"I mean, the moral of the story is: He was busting my dad's ass," Anthony said.

"It was a lot of Jordan kind of busting the Knicks' ass. ... Excuse my French."

True.. it was just the way it was presented. They would bring up a controversy/conspiracy say for instance Jordan retiring to go play baseball. Immediately they would insert 3-4 consecutive well known talking heads(Bob Costas, Ahmad Rashad, etc) and have them hop on camera and quickly refute the controversy right away as something that wouldn't even remotely happen or its completely false in every form or fashion to even think this.. and then they would go back to the other non controversial parts. But yeah they are theories at the end of the day but them addressing- just to say we did address it in such a controlled/curated/safe way when really imo they should've expanded on it a little bit further to make it more of a complete documentary. Still a entertaining show tho
