Patrick Ewing Had To Sit Out An Olympic Practice Because Michael Jordan Put Him In A Headlock The Night Before

One time the shorter Jordan (6'6" compared to Ewing's 7'0") got Ewing in a headlock, according to Jack McCallum's just released "Dream Team" book.

Ewing couldn't move his neck when he woke up the next morning, which he knew was going to be a big problem once he told their tyrant coach Bob Knight.

He told Knight exactly what Jordan did.

"So I sat out, man, Coach Knight was mad. But only at me. Michael? Nothing happened to him. Nothing ever happened to Michael.

So horace grant called shannon and set the record straight.

He did said Jordan told the flight person to not feed grant and grant stood up and said "F you mike" and was going to confront him but brad sellers told him not to do it.

He also said MJ was trying to bully horace the moment he got to the team and the only person he didn't try to bully was charles oakley.

He told shannon there were other times where things were going to get physical with mike.

Shannon told horace to come on the show and tell his side of the story because there were things that horace told him that he wasn't comfy in saying over TV.

okay, we both agree the advancement of technology is the biggest change from then till now.

So let me ask you this, If the technology today was available 30 years ago would your opinion change on what era is better in your opinion.

Also, if the technology from yesteryear, VHS, Thick ass playbooks (not e books), projectors, etc... were available today would the NBA suffer?

Finally if all things being equal technology wise between 1990 and 2020 which era would you feel is better?

IMO the athletic thing is vastly overstated. The 2 time MVP steph curry (Who people considered the best in the league) his game is predicated on skill way more than athletic ability.

Same thing with Tim Duncan. Duncan's game is straight out the late 1970s, with his backboard shots, fundamental triple threat stance, etc. He dominated the 2000s strictly on skills.

Unless the coli is going to tell me that Duncan was an athletic freak of nature?
