They beat an extremely stacked/athletic and insanely talented Portland team in the WCF. A Portland team that won 63 games.

That's why I always laugh when people say Lebron is greater than Magic. Magic did it without Kareem and without Pat Riley. The Lakers were the underdogs.

Plus dude has 5 rings and was just a surreal leader and playmaker. How tf is Lebron 3-6 greater?

Hes not people in the media is just retarded

This is probably the GOAT sports documentary I've seen. I hope this inspires others to be a little more honest and raw. I would hate it if it was just a circle jerk about MJ with people praising him.

From what I’ve been seeing, Scottie and Even Isiah have been Getting a lot of justice for their legacies from the general public cause of this doc.

not a terrible list, but cats gonna be mad that Mike is at 4.
Kareem at #1 makes sense. He came into the league when Kareem was in his prime. That's like guys who came into the league in 2006 saying Kobe is the best they have seen. When a nikka is so much better than you, it just stands out more than when you are all on the similar level.

Reinsdorf is a puppet only team he’s worried & gives a fukk about was/is the White Sox which is how he even knew that Mr. Swackhammer lookin ass mfer Krause..

Even today he still don’t give a fukk look how long it took to get Gar Forman the fukk up outta here..

Reinsdorf bullshyt ain’t nothing new to my city, But Krause had a friendship for years before ever bringing Phil into the mix then let MJ walk and publicly shyt on Phil about any chance he could get...Because of his ego and lack of credit ..Nahh fukk Krause

Krause and head coach Phil Jackson had been friends for years, but their relationship was, in Jackson's opinion, shattered early in the 1990s after Chicago Tribune reporter Sam Smith (whom Krause despised) published a book on the 1991 title team, The Jordan Rules. The book detailed the tension that already existed between Krause and the players, and ultimately drove a wedge between Krause and Jackson.[15] Regardless of the success Jackson had as head coach of the Bulls, the tension between Jackson and Krause grew in the succeeding years, and by the 1997–98 season, was especially illustrated by the following incidents:

  • During the summer of 1997, Krause's stepdaughter got married. All of the Bulls assistant coaches and their wives were invited to the wedding, as was Tim Floyd, then the head coach at Iowa State, whom Krause was openly courting as Jackson's successor (and who would eventually succeed Jackson). Jackson and his then wife, June, were not even told of the wedding, much less invited, only finding out about the event when the wife of Cartwright, who by that time had become a Bulls assistant, asked June what she would be wearing to the reception.[16]
  • After contentious negotiations between Jackson and the Bulls in that same period, Jackson was signed for the 1997–98 season only. Krause announced the signing in what Chicago media widely considered to be a mean-spirited manner, emphasizing that Jackson would not be rehired even if the Bulls won the 1997–98 title. That triggered an argument between Jackson and Krause in which Jackson essentially told Krause that he seemed to be rooting for the other side and not the Bulls. At that point, Krause told Jackson, "I don't care if it's 82-and-0 this year, you're fukking gone."[17]
  • Krause was widely quoted as saying, "Players and coaches don't win championships; organizations win championships." The statement particularly offended Michael Jordan. However, Krause said that his original phrasing was "Players and coaches alone don't win championships; organizations win championships."[18]
I disagree, his white privilege to the Bulls over the White Sox tells me the Bulls are his child, not the White Sox.

Peter Gammons
"Jerry Reinsdorf has always said that he'd trade all his Bulls championship rings for one World Series ring. I don't know if he really would, but everyone who works here knows this: that what he wants most in his professional life is to win the World Series. Well, the foundation is now there. The fans, the marketing and everything else will fall into place. Don't worry. It already is."

-- Rob Gallas, White Sox VP, Marketing and Broadcasting

USATODAY.com - Reinsdorf, with Bulls titles in hand, adds Series crown
Asked before the game to compare the Bulls titles to a potential Sox championship, Reinsdorf didn't hesitate. "It's different. This is bigger. Basketball and Jordan were as big as basketball could get. I don't think the NBA Finals are huge normally, but with Jordan they were. But this is bigger. This gets more attention, more excitement. This is baseball."

SEEING SOX WIN WORLD SERIES NO. 1 TO REINSDORF

"In my mind, there's baseball, and then there are all the other sports," the Sox chairman said Tuesday from his winter home in Arizona. "That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the NBA titles, but . . . ."

Windy? A Little. Second? Not Anymore.
Reinsdorf choked up, hugged Konerko, who is now a free agent, then turned away. Later, Reinsdorf told the audience that after 25 years of team ownership, the celebration made everything worthwhile.

"I never imagined it could be so good," he said. "But this is absolutely the most fantastic day of my life."

Receiving the ball, he said, was "the most emotional moment of my life."

Everybody knows Jerry cares about the Sox more than the Bulls.

Yes they cover the punch. They actually cover a lot of topic that I thought they'd go nowhere near in next four episodes.

As far the Dennis Hopson stuff I think it wasn't covered because nobody gives a fukk about a Dennis Hopson and they aren't going as in depth on the early years.

Reading the spoiler, that's what makes this doc GOAT

:mjlol:

Magic is better than LeBron because of his accomplishment of beating a team in a completely different era that we have no idea how LeBron would fare against? :gladbron:

Yo, Magic beat the ‘91 Blazers (a team that never won shyt) he’s better than LeBron :gladbron:

Yeah he has 5 rings he played on stacked teams his whole career from jump. U can commend his leadership in retrospect but you can also talk about moments of alienation/big headedness with teammates, getting a coach fired, choke jobs and meltdowns he had. But it’s only when it comes to LeBron that these things are brought up.

At this point I don’t even think Magic himself thinks he’s better than LeBron. :dead:

Surely anybody with an objective eye can see who the better basketball player is :heh:

Currently watching episode 7 it's crazy how I was very young at that time in 93 I had to be in either Pre-K or 1st grade but I remember how the aura in the city changed especially in my hood living by old Chicago stadium n they started building the UC across the street to where I lived I remember walking to school n just looking at the construction didn't really comprehend wat was taking place. But just my opinion do y'all think mj was trolling Krause n Jerry after his pops died n decided to play baseball in his words trying to live his pops dreams of being a professional mlb player being at that time being the goat living legend on same level as the other mj it's crazy how all this synchronicity how everything was lined up at time up until the 98 season its like he was doing everything out of spite to shyt on the front office n it's funny how he never got to really play in a real mlb game but played triple a then came back to take over the league again continue to troll n shyt on Krause it's kind of weird but I see where mj was coming from all the shyt he did to help bring ships and billions to the sport made it global n they still played him n Scottie also Phill too this shyt is crazy I wouldn't be surprised if somebody had sum to do with murdering his pops I bring this up again because 2 yrs later mj comes back wins another ship then builds a boys & girls club in honor of his pops n his pops was the type to make a kid's dream come true by randomly picking a kid at his games yrs before to meet mj yrs later I finally meet him yrs later I get to go to his crib n compete with his son from junior high to hs is again mind blowing n it's crazy seeing ppl in the league before including my lil cuz who was a baby at time watching it too in real time shyt is crazy to me how life plays out shyt is spooky especially the tragic situation with Kobe before the asw in my city then now we get to see this doc sooner then expected during the playoff season its like we're getting a quick history lesson on how this sport has changed lives n this Rona shyt is showing u how any moment everything u worked hard for can be over just like that
SPOILER TAG, nikka :dahell:
