I think you're underestimating the level of enhancing their game early. Now Bron was leading his team to the finals at 22, Kobe winning chips with Shaq is true as well.

However, there are principles taught early in college that can last much later in your career. Its where you get the programming from. They were going to be GOAT status regardless, but instead of figuring it out on their own its instilled early imo.

Its a reason those guys took to Coach K during the Olympics. Just a different level of detail and knowledge.
