I'm getting this game day 1, also buying a new system on that same date. What system are you guys going to be playing this game on? Been doing lots of reading and honestly I'm still not sure what system to get, an XBOX ONE or PS4

For MGS5? Easily a PS4. It'll be be the best console version. I'm getting it on PC but I may cop for PS4 later if I like the online.

Strictly just for MGS5, yes I am leaning more towards the PS4. I did also read somewhere yesterday that the PS4 version will be running at 1080, which is very impressive. Now I'll admit one thing, a reason I'm leaning more towards the X1 is because i am a fan of both Halo & Gears and both of those are exclusives to Xbox. You think the on the screen difference between both consoles for MGS5 will be that noticable?

The thing with the differences is usually you have to point them out to some people and then they'll "see" it but at home playing it without the superior version side by side?? You won't really notice a thing. It's like dudes with a low-end Vizio TV. Sure they're TV is pretty crappy compared to others but at home, not in proximity to a high end Samsung LED it'll look fine.

Also, since you said you're a fan of both Halo and Gears, then it'd be remiss of me to recommend a PS4. Get an Xbox 1 instead. You can always get a PS4 later when games you want are out on it(Like SFV or UC4 for example.)

It'd be better to get a XB1 right now because Gears Ultimate Edition comes out Tuesday and then Metal Gear 1 week later. Halo in October so you'll be straight. If you don't really care about Gears Ultimate edition then you can cop a PS4 next week for MGSV and then cop a XB1 in late October or later or Halo 5.
