Probably to make bigger budget movies rather than smaller budget shows.
I’m glad they’re spacing the releases out. Let those projects breathe, allow for Marvel to ground themselves, and ultimately reevaluate their approach compared to the last few years.

My main concern at the moment is if the quality of the storytelling will improve or not. I don’t know if it’s a rushed schedule issue or writer incompatibility issue, perhaps even both, but something has to improve on that end.

The writer of DS2 said they scrapped his first script and gave him two weeks to write a new one while they had already began filming. Cumberbatch said they were filming scenes without knowing where that scene was in the movie, and what purpose it served. That’s assembly-line content making…not story telling. That’s how you get the “Memory Store”.

The writer of DS2 said they scrapped his first script and gave him two weeks to write a new one while they had already began filming. Cumberbatch said they were filming scenes without knowing where that scene was in the movie, and what purpose it served. That’s assembly-line content making…not story telling. That’s how you get the “Memory Store”.
That’s an issue they need to address then. Making sure those elements gel at the end of the day is a part of effective storytelling. Two weeks to generate a script for a 125 minute film is not ideal.

Era of a billion dollar Marvel is probably over. Doesn’t mean they can’t still be successful
