coli got everybody, now blockbuster making writers (i.e. studio interns) post here too
Pardon us sirI make blockbusters and not a single one has gotten a bad review. I've had conversations with Coogler (unfortunately never met Boseman), and I maintain my anonymity for that very reason. I know what the hell I'm talking about. You ever had to direct a full-length theatrical feature, working with people at the top of the industry? No? Then STFU.
Anyone wanna guess who that is?coli got everybody, now blockbuster making writers (i.e. studio interns) post here too
T'Challa can NOT be the Black Panther. Too many people, outside of comic book nerds, connect T'challa with Chadwick Boseman.
T'Challa has to die in a self-sacrificial way, Chadwick Boseman has to have a couple of scenes in the movie even if they're scenes from the original Black Panther or digitally recreated like Star Wars (no dialogue though, just passing the torch).
Black Panther is Black Panther. T'Challa is just one in a line of many. But don't recast T'Challa. That's disrespectful to how well Chadwick Boseman embodied the character before he died.
don't worry about it there are other actors that can carry the torch
It's not about that motherfukker. Where in the comics is T'Challa replaced by anyone other than Shuri temporarily. This is not FOX, where you can rewrite a story into your own narrative. This is a comic book movie. shyt would be retarded if some weird nikka named James not in the comics became bp.Name one black actor that would be a better T'Challa than Chadwick Boseman.
There are only two options.
Recast or pass the mantle to Shuri.
In the comics, yes there have been PAST Black Panthers but in the continuity there have been two present BP’s and thats T’Challa and Shuri.
T’Challa as a CHARACTER is extremely important, and like Batman, Superman, etc. he is open to different actors and interpretations. It would do a disservice to the character and mythos simply create another character out of thin air and give him a back story not steeped in any Marvel tradition or lore. That would be terrible.
Nat Turner would been a perfect killmonger actually. he has a raw intensity he brings to his roles.Although shorter...there is one actor who hasnt been in a comic book franchise that is the closest to Boseman in terms of acting, screen presence, power...
Like Boseman he was a Denzel disciple.
Unfortunately that actor has been cancelled.. So Marvel would never consider him.
Gotta go with a Nigerian/English actor. Although he's not well known, Omar Sy is another actor that can play T'Challa. The Wakandan accent would be relatively native and organic to him. Plus he fits the age range and has a hairline.Nat Turner would been a perfect killmonger actually. he has a raw intensity he brings to his roles.
If you're going that route I can see somebody like Jovan Adepo.Gotta go with a Nigerian/English actor. Although he's not well known, Omar Sy is another actor that can play T'Challa. The Wakandan accent would be relatively native and organic to him. Plus he fits the age range and has a hairline.
If Don Cheadle was younger and hadn't already played War Machine, he could imitate the accent with ease as well. Dude from Gangs of London would be another phenomenal choice. Of course the direction of the storyline would have to switch from a Hudlin to Coates style of storytelling where now we're focused on Wakanda as a whole and less on T'Challa.
