That was after the first film and not actually during filming. People keep overlooking that notion when trying to compare the two situations.
Black Panther 2 wasn't filming when Boseman passed.
Which gave them time to recast the character or come up with a plan for his replacement before filming actually started. They don't have that luxury with Letitia Wright as they are in the midst of filming so it'd be a waste of time and money to reshoot her scenes all over again especially when you're already behind as it is.
i was speaking specifically to not recasting TChalla as they should have. They had no problem doing it for Rhodey.
With this they are stuck since they are in the middle of filming. They shouldn't have done part 2 without a recast T'Challa.

That only works with side characters and not with your lead actor. There was no way that they were just going to be able to replace him with another actor with no explanation whatsoever. That's the difference. Cheadle wasn't the lead, so you could easily make the move.
The better of action was to use the second film as a stopgap in order to set up his replacement for the third film, which is obviously going to happen.
Yes somehow they can recast Batman and nobody blinks an eye.
It's not even in the same movie universe or sequel, so come up with a better example.

Those examples that you used are all disingenuous arguments considering the fact that none of those actors died for them to get replaced by someone else. They were replaced because of scheduling issues/money/creative conflicts. It makes a difference when the lead actor of a film franchise unfortunately passes away which is what happened with Boseman.
There's a huge explanation that everyone knows. The lead actor passed away. And to keep it a buck. He wasn't the strongest thing in that movie, and I'm saying that as someone who liked Chadwick.

I've said before that they have acknowledged his death in the second film and use as at set up for his replacement in the third film. That would make more storyline since rather than recasting the actor and acting his real life death never happened.
