No reason to green light her a series if that's not what it's gonna be about. And besides a recast T'challa it's the only thing that makes any sense for these iterations of the characters.

And Bucky will be in Wakada to ride for the fallen king, probably in some new tech.

I didn't want to believe this but you're probably right because what type of injury could she possibly get from sitting in her office in Wakanda that would make them shut down production.

Plus what type of injury could a side character get that makes them shut down an entire production.

That must mean she's not a side character, and she's the main character.

Shuri takes the mantle for the movie, realizes that it ain't her forte for whatever reason. And if the war is on, all that bureaucracy can go to the wayside when it comes to who needs to run point.
