As far as this Wakanda film I've been in the recast train but obviously they have no intention on doing that. The MCU been shifting to more women superheroes and protégés so Shuri being BP is just the next logical stepNo I'm not anywhere near amped like I was when I finally heard BP was coming but it is what it is Shuri actress is ridiculously small though my suspension of belief can only go so far

Just because her outfit is covered doesn't mean she's black panther. Danai's outfit is also covered....

Even if she is, I'm sure it'll just be a transition thing. If it isn't, that means they have confidence she'll do the job well.

Yeah it seems some people can't get past the star dying and the creative people involved not wanting to recast. You would think their would be some understanding they are still mourning their friend and collaborator but obviously not.

Yea this is an underlining problem.

And not black women as a whole, but specifically the shea butter Twitter feminists.

Even when Boseman was alive, they were the ones suggesting BP2 should involve T'Challa getting killed or maimed, just so Shuri could take over.

I actually thought they'd play with it in BP. They would've shown something about him being hurt, and Shuri going through the trial, ultimately failing, and then T'Challa healing and wrecking ish. And that would foreshadow Shuri getting a BP movie down the line, BUT that was also when I though Lupita was playing Shuri. They did something similar, just without Shuri...and didn't even bother setting her up as a threat.

I'm still confused on the Riri inclusion. It makes no sense, other than "she's black." She's inspired by Iron Man, funded by Iron Man, her name is Iron Heart. What's she doing in Wakanda? And I definitely don't want to see her and Shuri interact. They're pretty much clones at this point.

Even the possibility to recast was caused by an untimely death of someone they liked/loved. The situation is completely different.

Riri and Shuri actually interact in the comics. I think she’ll probably be involved in the Wakanda outreach program that was set up in BP rather than the Stark angle in the comics.

I have that issue. I hated her and Shuri's interaction there too, even though Shuri was more of pre-Coates Shuri. I was actually one of the few Ironheart fans from the gate...even got my #1 signed by Eve Ewing. BUT, they're introducing her via BP2, instead of her show. Is she going to be a Wakanda Initiative kid, because more than likely they'll alter her origin.

MCU drop off in quality is very obvious. Black Widow was trash..... The Disney shows have been trash aside from the What ifs.... Spiderman trailer, big trash.... Captivating an audience for 11 years is quite the accomplishment though, so props to disney and marvel.
