Thats not that long when they have another (maybe several) AAA game in development
sure, but maybe Wolverine is the main priority now. They said Spider-Man 2 is coming in Fall 2023 and they're not pushing the date back. They were true to their word, so my hope is that they'll come through again with a 2024 release for Wolverine

Insomniac can’t be dropping a game every year. I look forward to seeing it at least next year
They never said wolverine was coming 2024.
Unless the game was already being worked on during 2020 there is no way it drops next year.
