I actually agree with both of you, i just meant it wouldn't be a turnoff for me if it was like the spiderman game with wolverine.
but ideally i'd want a more linear game, and yes i'd like for his claw attacks to feel lethal and not having to crank up long combos to take out an enemy.
for me i think a good wolverine game would be like last of 2 when it comes to navigating the world and low key the combat as well.

A more up close and gory, single enemy focus, game would definitely be cool too, like being able to play that X-Men Origins Wolverine cgi opening that blew me away as a kid.

I just don't think Insomniac is up to making a game with that level of real world detail/atmosphere, the teaser didn't suggest that, and an over the top DMC combat system is a whole lot easier to sell for a comic book property.

What's weird is I think we'll be able to tell by the next trailer, if he's on the run I can see an over the shoulder camera, darker game but if at any point you see that he's suited up get ready for combos:heh:

I also don't think long form cutscenes like TLOU work in Insomniacs favor either, from what I've seen watching my brother play is there's a lot of walk and talk, immersive story telling.

Insomniac has plenty of that

I also think people sleep on insomniacs storytelling abilities. I’ve seen spider-man vs doc ock a million times in spider-man media and i still think Insomniac managed to do something new with it, and i actually enjoyed it more than SM2 the movie

Breh 6 of the 9 minutes in this video is walk and talk, and that's fine for Wolverine I'm just saying, if you look online TLOU has almost double the amount of pure cutscenes with no DLC. And an Insomniac game that isn't open world and with no replayable combat system (dmc) would start to feel hollow without longer cutscenes, something they aren't great at.

A more interesting question is a what run of the comics are they gonna base this game on?

Should base it off this mini arc

:yeshrug: I’m all for an action packed linear game. That takes place in different locations. With great combat and replayability. Not every game has to be open world.

Theres like no real benefit i can even think of making wolverine open world. I want environments like this, where you can sneak around and get the drop on nikkas from trees…but you don’t need an open world for that

I also think the patch storyline would be an interesting direction to take it. They had an Easter egg of it in the teaser as well

I've been waiting on wolverine to get his due respect. Wolverine is all your favorite hero and anime character wrapped up in one. Limitless potential as character and character experiences go.

I have faith insomniac will knock it out the park.:banderas:

As long as they go full in with a hard R.:mjpls:

The blue print for wolverine is already laid.

Just merge splinter cell black list and metal gear solid 3, pepper in some gow 3 brutality with the gameplay and story telling of gow 2018.

Instant classic.

Outside of mortal Kombat there hasn't been a main stream game as violent as gow 3 which is pretty amazing.
