Don't understand what rationale the committee used to select UVA, there were teams with better profiles that aren't going to stink up the place.

I'd have taken Indiana State, any of the 3 BE teams or even Oklahoma over Virginia - do the committee even watch games? Virginia's been awful for a long time

I think a lot of it has to do with the transfer portal, which opens this week.

Really at a loss of words for how the pack line defense worked this long tbh. A high enough pick and roll, short roll by the roller, elbow help should come, you kick it out to the elbow shooters, that should be an open 3 every time. I guess 4-1 and 5 out offenses just became en vogue the last 10 years though.

1)coaches would rather spend their time working the portal to construct a new team then play in basically meaningless games and (2) some of these teams are made up of a bunch of 1 year portal guys themselves(St John's for example), so they would rather just move on then play in the NIT
