damn, this was a great night in television. i can't believe peggy left. i wonder if this is still all a power move on her part. i mean we dont know shyt about the guys she switched over to and peggy's not an insignificant character so how do they develop her story with her bein over there??? i'm shootin in the dark but its possible she could change the culture of scdp... assumin she leaves a void and they're beggin her to come back. i couldnt tell if dons kiss was genuine or a snarky way of sayin "you're still a woman" though

i cant believe joan actually went thru with that, i thought she was bigger than some shyt like that damn the walls is closin in on lane though... at least he beat pete's ass that one time before he went out

The look on Don's face when Peggy told him what firm she was going to work at pretty much confirmed to me that they were well known and successful. Joan received an opportunity to move up on the ladder in a demeaning and unconventional(Is it really?)way. Peggy is a rare breed that didn't have to resort to sleeping with men of power to get ahead, but she's definitely the exception; her and Joan are two sides of the same coin.

Its crazy how Peggy shytted on Ken when he tried to show her some compassion and empathy... She wants no parts of ever being treated like a victim or a female.... Joan on the other hand....

Just started watching the episode. I think Pete just went from likable a$$hole to just a$$hole.

just caught all the way up on the episodes right to last night's one and I'll just say & . Just fire writing and acting. Joan represents the old way the women would come up in the world "fukked her way up" some still do but Peggy wants that equal respect at all costs, she hit her glass ceiling at SCPD. She wants to get recognized by merit alone . Old vs. New. Makes you appreciate a woman like that more seeing it displayed like they do in Mad Men.

Wonder how Pete is going to feel about Peggy stepping out.

I think that was the firm that kept trying to style on Don last season

Yeah, the guys who kept "drafting" after them for Honda, Clearasil, etc. They're smaller than SCDP (at least before they lost Lucky Strike). Don dislikes the guy a lot.
