Its also obvious that the firm is headed in Pete's direction and not Dons...And he hasn't even had to use his ace in the hole yet...Pete is gonna dethrone the king, and just a few episodes ago, he thought life was hopeless...

I got a "....Casting Couch" vibe during Megan's audition scene.
Joan and Peggy both got some measure of independence in this episode but it's interesting to think about how each character gained that independence and then think backward through both of their character arcs all the way to when they met and realize they've always been two sides of the same coin.
Peggy saw the writing on the wall. Young Ginsberg only been at SCDP for a few months & he was already outshining her. Either way, that was a boss move for her to take control of her own destiny.
i couldnt tell if dons kiss was genuine or a snarky way of sayin "you're still a woman" though
