You know deep down inside, Don was feeling like :sadbron: when he realized Joan already got her back blown out before they made the sales pitch.

Its also obvious that the firm is headed in Pete's direction and not Dons...And he hasn't even had to use his ace in the hole yet...Pete is gonna dethrone the king, and just a few episodes ago, he thought life was hopeless...

If Pete don't commit that first...

Joan and Peggy both got some measure of independence in this episode but it's interesting to think about how each character gained that independence and then think backward through both of their character arcs all the way to when they met and realize they've always been two sides of the same coin.

Pete's a pimp...........literally

I got a "....Casting Couch" vibe during Megan's audition scene. :scheme:

yup.

I loved how they both climbed the ladder in 2 totally different ways. Peggy finally "won" and that smile in the end told the whole story.

2 more episodes :to: I hope Homeland and Boardwalk Empire can hold the fort while we wait for the 6th season.

damn, this was a great night in television. i can't believe peggy left. i wonder if this is still all a power move on her part. i mean we dont know shyt about the guys she switched over to and peggy's not an insignificant character so how do they develop her story with her bein over there??? i'm shootin in the dark but its possible she could change the culture of scdp... assumin she leaves a void and they're beggin her to come back. i couldnt tell if dons kiss was genuine or a snarky way of sayin "you're still a woman" though

i cant believe joan actually went thru with that, i thought she was bigger than some shyt like that damn :manny: the walls is closin in on lane though... at least he beat pete's ass that one time before he went out

Peggy saw the writing on the wall. Young Ginsberg only been at SCDP for a few months & he was already outshining her. Either way, that was a boss move for her to take control of her own destiny.

Roger called that shyt.

It was genuine as fukk. Despite their clashes, they respect the hell out of each other. Don was the one she called after having the baby. Peggy was the one Don called after getting in that car crash with his mistress.

One of the best episodes of the series, The Suitcase, they told shyt to each other that no one else knew.

Don was hurt by her leaving.
