If we can make it out of this month without any more wins, we'll be in good position to get the 3rd seed by the end of the year. The rest of February only has 3 more winnable games (at home vs. Boston, Brooklyn, and Sacremento). Our schedule in March and April is BRUTAL. Outside of short stretch against the leastern conference at the end of March, we'll be playing almost exclusively teams in the top 8 out west. Just look at the first 8 games in March (at Portland, vs. NO, vs. LAC, at Denver, vs. OKC, at OKC, at SA, vs. SA). We could easily go 0-8 even if Kobe and the rest of the crew come back healthy.
All in all, if we handle our business and lose the winnable games in February, we could be setting ourselves for an epic tank run to close out the season. The #2 spot may not even be out of the question.
