Trae has elite vision and can get to the basket easily. Once he realizes he isn’t Steph and stops chucking 3s he will develop into an all star.

We're literally in a thread titled "Official Luka Doncic Will Be A Bust Thread" and dude is wondering why we're hating on Trae Young.

:lolwtf:

Idk breh. Maybe because they were essentially swapped on draft night and will forever be linked for the rest of their careers?

You negging all the Doncic hate? Nah. That's cool. But slandering your struggle shots boo won't be tolerated...

You seem to acknowledge that Doncic is a good player so I'm not saying you're as bad as the others, but c'mon breh. It's literally a thread made to hate on Doncic, and essentially the trade in general. Of course we're going to go in on Trae. Dallas brehs ain't gonna make a thread dedicated to hating on the man like you guys do, but we're definitely gonna have our fun in here.

Hawks fans have become delusional since that season before the 62-win season. They think they have a legacy now that they finally went to an ECF.:mjlol:
But at least the current ownership seems to know what they are doing and have the fans behind the team. :manny:
I remember when i first moved to ATL in 2005 I was telling some Hawks fans i worked with that they had an up and coming team to look forward to. They were all shytting on the team then because of that dumb GM they had.

Then they got Joe Johnson and they were beating their chest and feeling themselves for a minute. Until they realized JJ was no D-Wade or Kobe then they hated him. Still 3rd or 4th best SG of that era tho. Then they had the Josh Smith hype going to their heads (even comparing him to Lebron sometimes) but that dies fast. Then came the Marvin Williams hype and the common phrase was "he's the best player on this team. he just doesnt know it yet" :deadmanny:

Then came their self proclaimed "Spurs-East" era with coach Bud. Their whole thing was to model their team after the Spurs' blueprint and eventually mimic the Spurs' success with coach Bud. They were skeptical and shytting on the Millsap signing and he balled the fukk out for them. (Most Hawks fans in here can testify that I told them homie would ball out even as they were shytting on the move). He took them to their first ECF with Teague and them. And then they were about to start hating on him too as he was aging until they let Millsap leave and traded Teague after all the "Touch-me Teague-me" hype.

It was now the "Shroeder gonna be a star" era. I'll say i thought dude could be a star too and still feel they bailed on him too early. I just liked the kid's game. Too bad he may be a psycho.

Now we're in the "Golden-State East" era. We'll see how that goes. They have some good young players on the squad, tho. Taurean Prince is one of the most underrated young players in the league. I think the Collins kid can be a star. Now i understand why my fellow Heat fans wanted him. They added Trae this year so they are on a good path.

Being a transplant in a city and watching the local fans emotional behaviors as their team goes through up and down is something everyone should experience. :mjlol: Now i understand how them Knicks fans used to feel when the Heat was going through its struggles when I lived in Miami.

I go off performance and impact

Trae just captivated the country, dueling with the self-proclaimed King in LA. Luka can’t even get a 15 second Sportscenter spot :mjlol:
No, you do not. You're putting all this emphasis on double-doubles. The most meaningless, arbitrary box score term there is. It's blatantly obvious you do not know what you're talking about.

A 20-10 double-double is useless in a near-road win against a Lebron-led team :mjlol::russ::russ::russ:

We can gon head and lock this thread really. Luka isn't a bust and there's nothing special about his game.
He's a special player.

19 year olds aren't supposed to be this offensively honed and diverse. It's not even that dude is skilled, but how refined his game is. He gets to spots, his footwork is already very good compared to his peers, he has the 3 pointer, mid range, and can finish at the hoop. Traffic and contact don't seem to bother him too much at the rim. He can run PnR (not superb at it right now, but that'll come). Has excellent passing skills. Generally has a great feel for the game and is a WILLING passer and playmaker. He's not distributing and passing because he gets locked down in iso and it's a shot clock bailout, he actually makes the right pass a lot of the time. Swings it when needed and keeps a ball movement offense going and his teammates in rhythm. Also has the skillset to iso in sets if needed.

All of this at 19. Breh just looks extremely poised and in control of so many aspects of the game that most of his peers have a tenuous grasp on at best. You're tripping if you honestly think there's nothing special about his game.
