Show was all over the place. Like my head was doing flips trying to keep up with a single episode. It seemed like it would turn into a different show everytime you blink.

This was my exact problem. I just couldn't keep up

Show was good ep 1 was probably the best pilot I've seen last year on HBO
Everything after ep 1 was pretty average to good at best never great or amazing on par with ep 1

I liked lovecraft country but I’m ok with it not coming back because bitter root has been picked up to be adapted. LC and BR have similar premises but bitter root is a comic book written by a black man.

And tell me how many mediocre shows are renewed every season? Some shows don't even get really good until season 2 after the writers and cast have been together a while..

I'm not into Sci Fi type shows but this was a really well written show. It was different. Most shows are the same thing over and over.

Hopefully Paramount+ picks it up.

Building from the pilot, it had the potential to be a much better show than it turned out to be.

It still had some good episodes. The first episode was phenomenal, the space aunty episode was cool, and the episode with the Asian girl from the real world was good.

There was some bad stuff on the show but if they could have more episodes like those 3 it'd be their next GoT.
