HBO or someone planned one season from what we just watched. They left no cliffhanger. A new season would pick up with a completely new adventure. Again, Tic going to the future and telling Montrose what he learned told the finale which I honestly didn't like.

I said last week if Tic was the man with the bat the whole time then his future was set. They always had the book and died.
