I mean, to be fair, the show started off pretty good.
Interesting premise: a horror//fantasy which centers on Black people set in the 1950s.
The production values were/are high.
Some very good and likable actors: Jurnee Smollet, Courtney B. Vance, Michael K. Williams etc.
It seemed like they were gunna use the show as a metaphor for how cacs and their hatred and lust for power transforms them into both figurative and literal monsters.
The first couple episodes weren't doing too bad.
But gotdamn if this last episode wasn't sloppy af.
I just checked IMDB and apparently the alien lady is named Beyond C'est
Like, the showrunners really let their fangirlism runaway with them and it made the last episode cringy af
