Just seen it and the hype is real. It reminds me of an one shot comic book arc where the creative team has freedom to do whatever they want.
Also it's refreshing to watch a superhero story with real stakes

This was definitely the best X Men movie. Only Deadpool is even in the same category but for wholly different reasons.
Deadpool was almost perfect from the perspective of bringing the comic to life. The story wasn't that impressive and I didn't care about anyone really.
This shyt right here. This Logan shyt. Oh my. The story was wonderfully done. It was appropriately simple and it was 'plausable' (as much as this sort of mad scientist stuff can be).
I really got to know the characters. I felt like I was along for their trip. The mutants they picked to start were perfect because of their particular abilities and how that pushed the story along.
I didn't quite shed a tear but I wouldn't have been ashamed if I had. The way it all drove to the conclusion was just gut wrenchingly beautiful. Literal gut wrenching too.

The absolute best ending. I wasn't even wanting Logan to pop back up out of the grave either. The way they tore him to pieces and had him drag himself through Hell to save the day. It was just poetry. Then that last moment of his Grinch heart growing three sizes while Laura had the snot running into her mouth was just.. superb.
Allow me to nit pick. I feel like his metal bones would have prevented that tree stump from going through, but maybe it missed all his ribs. That's petty tho. I will absolutely allow it for this masterpiece.
