Anyone saying Sabertooth would have taken away from Logan's story doesn't know shyt about their history. Sabertooth has always been Logan's mirror, someone who relishes in being a murderous animal.

Also, anyone putting this on TDK's level is seriously overrating the fukk out of this movie, and I don't even worship TDK like that.

This.

Like I said before, I think Wolverine has been attached to so much shyt this just blows people's minds. But the movie definitely needed an iller villain.

People really saying SABRETOOTH would've taken away from a WOLVERINE movie as if that main goon looking for Wolves had even one memorable scene OR scientist breh who was not nearly as ill as Stryker was in X-2.

Sabretooth would've fit easily and instantly made it better.

Sabertooth would of been fan service. If they REALLY had him in mind then yes they would of made it work, but they didn't. I'm they had ANY X-men in mind they would of made it work. But they didn't. Why? Because not only it will deviate from the themes and morals and specific scenes and the consequences behind to something completely different such as
the ambiguous question of if Xavier knew it was NOT Logan that killed him
it would of saturated the story they want to tell. That whole "wouldn't it be cool if include this and that" typically DOES NOT WORK. That fan service shyt tend to fukk up potentially good films, especially under FOX. Plus we had Sabertooth in TWO FILMS already with mixed to poor results. Just because you want to see Logan fight Sabertooth does NOT improve upon the film. X-24 made more sense because he's is literally a mirror image of Wolverine in his PRIME which set up the dualities of what he once was, what he's trying to redeem himself as, how old, sick and weak he's gotten and a reminder that HE, not Sabertooth, is his OWN WORST enemy! Yes, in the comics, the so-called point to Sabertooth was to mirror Logan, but try to translate that on film with the things that happen in the movie and ask would it been better?

Putting him in the film because ya'll want to see a Sabertooth vs Wolverine fight is pure fan service. Nothing more.

Just reading this article about Legion and I found this part interesting and pertinent:

The legal headaches surrounding the handful of Marvel characters whose movie rights are controlled by Fox (thanks to the comics publisher selling off said rights in the midst of a financial crisis in the 1990s) have led to everything from conspiracy theories that Marvel’s comics feature the X-Men less (in order to boost heroes whose rights Marvel still controls) to a bitter lawsuit over the TV show Mutant X. Suffice to say, Marvel and Fox haven’t worked together on a project in a long time.

Or, rather, they hadn’t until Legion, which is the first time both companies have played nice together in more than a decade. And according to longtime X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner, a big reason for that was FX’s involvement in the project, particularly the network’s focus on letting creative people (or, in this case, entire comics-publishing brands) do their thing.

“We've really quite benefited from each other, and it's been a flourishing partnership. I'm hopeful it will spill over into the movies. We’ll see,” she said.

Despite all of this, Legion isn’t quite your typical X-Men superhero slugfest. There are moments of superpowered mayhem, to be sure, but just as much of the series takes place inside David’s mind, as he tries to understand exactly who he is and what’s happening to him. This is blockbuster TV subject matter — but it’s still an idiosyncratic personal vision.
Which brings us back to Hawley.

Logan was very much in the same vein being that its totally character focused. The few crash bang scenes are all necessary to the plot, none of the fight scenes or effects feel superfluous.

Legion is incredible btw. As a huge Kubrick fan, I love everything about Legion

The tides are beginning to turn

X24 was modeled off of sabertooth, yes he's a younger Logan but his look and savagery are sabertooth or for better terms what happens when u become a emotionless killing machine

at the end of the day her father saved her life and sacrificed his for hers...literally. that combined with the fact that she had just met him and they had just began to really communicate...you wouldnt cry at some shyt like that as a child fam?
I feel like everything you said just sort of sprung out of the third act though. they didn't really strike that bond until she began talking towards the end and up until that point they barely communicated.

I thought it was an okay film but I really have no desire to watch it again any time soon. But hey it is what it is. bloody claw action was cool.
