I thought of the jean thing too. Obviously they didn't show us what could've happened between them but what threw it off tho is them saying they were created. If she was Logan and jeans kid she wouldn't need to be created she would've been natural mutant.

Exactly. One of those theories that get people :krs: because it's cool fanfiction but the movie makes it clear as day that it's not real.

It's cool but it ain't necessary. If you do one cool if you don't then don't. Doing it for the sake of doing it is silly. To take your 90s analogy, not everyone could do skits well. Not everyone was redman or de la. If the shyt is weak then yeah. And this movie doesn't need one at all. It ends on the perfect note

Since this was more of a conclusion and not too much to really bridge from... I think it was cool.

You're right.... I dont think all movies need them.... like a movie like a Kevin Hart comedy or boring oscar movies or shyt like a FF really needs them... or action shyts like The Raid.

But I do think they work best with comic book movies.... especially the ones with universes. You can always use it as a tool to promote if not the next character or film then some big event thats coming down the line.

Like I still think if in BvS, if they wouldve had that scene with WW looking at her laptop and seeing the other JL guys.... that scene wouldve came off SOOOO much better and peeps wouldve been more receptive.

But the way it played out in the film... felt like it was just thrown in there with no thought, rhyme or reason and came up kinda "meh"

There's ways to do it

Nah I'm saying not every comic book flick does it. And it's not necessary. It's a storytelling device and like all devices, don't use them if you have absolutely nothing to say. That's silly to me as a writer. The minute filmmakers start doing shyt like that just because "it's what we're supposed to do" then I'm going to be bored to tears. This movie already stands out from the crowd and the last thing it needs to do is try to be like everything else by adding a useless and pointless coda.

Amazing movie. R-rated action really delivers, there were sequences during this movie when my eyes were bugged out and my mouth was dropped. Storytelling was great as anticipated, and all 3 of Logan Charles and X-23 were fantastic

But I do have to say there were some stupid parts, as well as some moments that were unintentionally hilarious

The fukking Terio looking kid with the shock powers running in the forest :mjlol: Logan juicing up then just running in and going ham out of nowhere :mjlol:

Only real complaint I have is the pacing was a little off, ie they'd go from serious moment to comedic then to serious again really quickly

Also I feel like the movie makes it so that the door is still open for Jackman and Stewart to return, because
their deaths weren't hard to go back on without some outrageous explanation
and there's definitely something here for a prequel so we'll see

Ok... I got ya.... well with Marvel.... I think they've done a pretty good job with how they utilized it. Logan kinda did the same thing just in reverse and that was cool.

Just saying, when you have a universe, have fun introducing and easter egg or new character

I love that device and look forward to it and dont feel its overkill. I mean I probably watch 50 or more movies a year... the 2-3 with that device doesnt seem that much to me

Just seen the movie and here's some thoughts. I'll spoiler them

This reminded me so much of the last of us and midnight special because of the "find a person with special powers and bring them to safety storyline. But Hugh Jackman really looked like the main character from the last of us to me.

It was a decent movie but I don't see where all the hype is for personally

The death scene and eulogy had a lot of people crying in the theatre. You could hear the sniffling going around, so I guess it was effective

I liked the opening scene as well as the deadpool opening scene, but we didn't get an after credit scene

6.5/10

I think I appreciate this more than I enjoyed it. Loved it in parts, but a lot just really bugged me. Mostly, that ridiculous "secret video" the nurse had on her phone. Everything about that was absurd. No chance in HELL she'd have that footage on a god damn cell phone lol.

But couples do artificial insemination and surrogate pregnancies all the time. Thats all those Mexican mothers were- a warm cac00n. If Jean is dead or just M.I.A. and unwilling or unable to bear children, conceivably in this universe they could have stolen her eggs or cloned her dna and Logans. I guess I'mstill not convinced. Why would Charles even say that? She doesn't exactly favor Logan.

Damn thats really a compelling stance to take.... cuz when I think about... I kinda feel you.

Like buddy said above too.

Thought I really liked this movie..... this really wasnt a "FUN" movie. Like I didnt really walk out of this hyped and with a smile... it left me feeling numb and somber.

Not saying thats bad or good.... but I didnt leave feeling like I just left Carowinds or The Great Adventures or a waterpark

I'd be interested to see how I feel after a 2nd viewing

Speaking of world-building, I thought it was cool that this took place in a world where there were X-Men comics. That the real X-Men had given birth to a mythos that was largely fantasy. That was clever. [/SPOILER]

I'm not sure this works. I mean, she had Uncanny X-Men comics from like the 90s and shyt...from before the first X-Men movie was made (and it was directly referenced in this film) and thus before Wolverine was on the team.

Did any of the other X films make reference to this? I'm struggling to see how this makes any damn sense.

Question

Did Logan have Parkinson or was it internal lead poisoning?

Also,

Xavier with dementia got to be the SCARIEST THING ON THE PLANET!

The adamantium in Wolverines body was always poisoning him, Wolverines healing factor always protected him from it. I assume with age his healing isn't as good as it used to be (needing glasses, not healing fast enough, limping) so he's now feeling the effects of the poisoning.

Couldn't those comics conceivably be similar to the Uncanny comics but not the exact ones? If this is really an alternate universe for X-Men, they can diverge from canon any way they like, especially if the point is to make the comics look like fairytales based on slithers of facts.
