Logan was pretty violent but not violent like No Country For Old Men or Casino. I wouldn't let a kid see it mainly because of its grim tone and the upsetting scenes.

A kid at one of my showing cried when the credits came on while his mom tried to calm him down

I.would of told my son stop acting like a bytch

Holy fukk this movie was a masterpiece and put not only all those x men movies to shame but pretty much every single comic book movie I've ever seen. Absolutely brilliant.

Can't wait to see it again, a classic. :blessed::blessed::blessed:

Edit: dethroned fury road as best action flick in the past decade or so.
I would consider this way more a drama than an action flick

I would too. There were plenty of action sequences, but they take a major backseat to the acting and the character work. It was even shot like a drama or a western as opposed to an action flick or a superhero movie.
I don't agree. The movie starts immediately with insane action and ends with insane action climax. Yes very dramatic scenes but it's an action movie in my book.

Breh you ever notice all 3 trailers only showed the same 2 action scenes? Cuz that"s all there was.

Compare that to John Wick or Fury Road which is 2 straight hours of action.

Everyone who writes or talks about this film calls it a Western.
Opening scene, the scene at the hideout, the scene at the hotel, the scenes at the farm and the scenes at the end. Plenty of action to call it an action flick and just about as much if not more than John wick. Yall tripping but then again yall also believe winter soldier was a political thriller because they said so.

Think for yourself.

Edit: and I caught this late cuz the trailers didn't show much but thank God they didn't cuz there was so much to see.

Breh this was a pretty slow paced movie. Okay there were a few other small bursts of action but it never felt like an action movie to me. I felt it was much more about the characters. Hell the final action scene was less than 10 min.

Compare that to the endless 45 min + CGI climaxes of other franchises that shall not be named :mjpls:

Sorry, definitely not a western but i see the themes definitely not an all out drama too much action and gore. I wasn't bored in this movie and it's was way more exciting than wick and the marvel flicks.

That endless 45 min fast and furious action shyt is boring af compared even to just the opening sequence of this movie. They truly did an excellent job of making the action compelling, relevant and in your fukking face.

this was one of the most fishy parts of the movie, it wasn't needed, and both logan n Charles MUST have known they were putting em in danger
:russ:
It was like the movie just stopped to make sure they got killed off. It didn't even affect the story or nothing. Logan watched ole boy drop dead after saving him with the truck and went back to seeing bout x23. Didn't even hit a :yeshrug: or a :mjpls:. Movie was outstanding though

Just saw it
I wouldn't give it a 10/10, but, it's definitely 8/10.

I'm not sure I'd enjoy it as much if I wasn't a X-Men stan. There's a few predictable beats it follows. And three cliches that just push the story.

I'm def' happy that to is a "dark" movie for an actual reason.

But, man if this ain't a damn good movie.

Best X-Men movie and Top 5 Comic movie.

:to: Got me wanting a lil brehette

And the movie is a action movie, cant call it a drama just because the drama is as good as the action:pachaha:
